It's easy to expect your team to fail, and stand in pride when they prove you wrong.

Indeed. And anyone who knows me knows I err on the side of pessimism for games. Mainly about trying to lessen the pain if the Broncos lose. Seriously it used to REALLY get to me if the Broncos went down. And wins, generally, were expected so was hard to get too excited. So a natural defence mechanism was to try and reduce my expectations so that it wouldn't be so bad if we lost, and more euphoric if we won.

Some people confuse it with disloyalty. It's not.

That's not disloyalty. Disloyalty is tipping against the Broncos. Something I have never done.

I don't think that's what draggx meant...

I probably would've worded it like this:

It's easy to bag your team, so you can always say "I knew it" if it goes wrong, but jump to the front of the bandwagon when you win, yelling how great they are.

Rubbish. I tip against the Broncos quite regularly. It's called trying to win the tipping competition. It's not WANTING the Broncos to lose. It's picking the times they do lose (because no team goes through unbeaten).

Doesn't mean i still don't support them fully

Me too!
Like when we hand over the ball in our 20m or have a line drop out. I am always known to say "they're going to score here". It's not that I don't trust our defence, I just find that pessimism helps us win and softens the blow when they do score a try.

I'm the same, last year was so bad I still think we're going to crumble sometimes when we take the lead.

I thought I was the only one :P It's always in the back of my mind that we might crumble but thankfully that hasn't been the case once under 16 games with Griffin.

We didn't crumble, we just had a snooze.

We let Manly win as we didn't want to hear Hasler, b!tching about something that happened. [icon_razz1

I don't know, none no them felt as bad as some of the pathetic crumbling last year.

And we won the Parra and Canberra games.
