I guess we're just discounting the pre-origin period where he wasn't good, he only stepped up when he was promoted into the starting lineup when Glenn got injured. McGuire & Gillett were comfortably our best forwards.

Tbf, Gillett was pretty ordinary after he injured his shoulder. Not his fault I know, but I think Sam was just as good as Gillett once he moved to the edges.

Congrats to Boyd for winning the player of the year award and best back. Well deserved, I thought he was immense this year.

I'd also have given him the most consistent award.

Boyd was far and away our best player this year. I'd argue it's one of the best years for any Broncos players in history too.
