Does anyone think Shibaski will get a run next year?

By using the ball better. He isnt going to be a Peptide Gallen workhorse type like who makes lots of meters, which is what a lot of people think of when you mention the lock role.
I believe we are going to look to the past and play him at lock like we used to see somebody like Ellery Hanley play. Basically playing the lock role more like a five eighth like it used to be. Bird is tough enough to be strong enough in defence, but he has the ability with the ball to make our attack more potent.
What an excellent post. And it is great to find someone who recalls possibly the greatest forward who ever played the game in Ellery Hanley. I hope that Bird does take on that style of lock play. Moose just lost us so many opportunities in attack with his one-out shit.
However, having said that, we had, and we will have the player roster to win a premiership. It's the coaching staff, the game plan that seriously worries me. Doesn't matter who plays where - if we don't adopt a game plan which maximises our many strengths (Bird, Milford, Gillett to name just 3) we will end up in '18 exactly where we did this year.
He hasn't impressed me in the games I've seen, along with Allen. I think they both have talent as they have some really nice touches at times (long balls, steps, tackle busts, hole running moments) but neither of them stay in games.Hope so hes a gun
Sounds awesomeThis is a bit off topic but ,
Kahu is a great goal- kicker but could get better .
We should bring in A Dan carter or someone like that who were nearly perfect in goal kicking
Tevita Pangai #13 - Our answer to Taumalolo. The modern day lock. Not only can he barge over the opposition and step like a back, he can offload and create opportunities for our backs.

Its an interesting team but what happens when an injury to 3/4 back happens? There seems s lot of specialisation on the bench and a disagree with your comment on glen. He has been fine for us. He's just not a front rower and its seems our 2nd row is expected to play as front rowers, sometimes this season. Some good metres up the middle from our front rower and glen is easily capable of taking advantage, and offloading/linking with others.1. Darius Boyd
2. Corey Oates
3. Jack Bird
4. James Roberts
5. Jordan Kahu
6. Anthony Milford
7. Troy Dargan
8. Matthew Lodge
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Josh McGuire
11. Korbin Sims
12. Matt Gillett
13. Tevita Pangai Junior

15. Alex Glenn

Troy Dargan - Kicking game and natural halfback. Can do what Milford struggles at.
Nikorima #14 - Lethal off the bench at hooker and can cover halves and fullback if injury occurs. Yet to master a kicking game.
Lodge #8 - Just going to assume Bennett is signing him with the intention to use him to replace Blair. I don't really agree with the signing, but in terms of football, he's the kind of prop we need. ( Big + Aggressive )
Tevita Pangai #13 - Our answer to Taumalolo. The modern day lock. Not only can he barge over the opposition and step like a back, he can offload and create opportunities for our backs.
Sims #11 - I think with the addition of Lodge and Pangai Junior to our starting side along with Sims shifting from prop to backrow squashes any thought of our pack being too small.
Oates & Bird - The left edge combination of Jack Bird and Corey Oates would be slick in attack and solid in defence. Both big bodies capable of playing in the forwards.
Glenn #15 - I see Glenn as more of a utility forward on the bench like what Mitch Aubusson has been for the Roosters. He is not big enough to take the hard hit ups and usually is stopped in his tracks or driven backwards. Would come on for Sims at some point in the game. Jaydn Su'a should be next in line for that role.
Patrick Mago - On the bench as a replacement for Tevita Pangai at lock during the game. Replacing a wrecking ball with another wrecking ball.
Thaiday - I am sick of watching him make mistakes for us. Has been a beneficiary of the Broncos and QLD dominance. Is past his best and looks like he's just trying to keep up with the young talent and is failing.
We have to take risks in order to win the comp next year.
