I have similar issues with this jersey/concept.I have to be honest and say as an ex-digger I hate anything remotely connected to the commercialisation of our forces. No matter how 'tasteful' it is presented it is still glamorizing and making a killing from the sacrifices made by so many. If they were to eschew selling these shirts and instead give a limited number away free to the public, I might find that acceptable. Otherwise the whole thing stinks of commercialism dressed up as patriotism. To paraphrase Roosevelt - "For those who have fought for it, life has a flavour the sheltered will never know."
If the club were truly honouring the ANZAC spirit (selflessness) all profits would be donated to someone like "Wounded Heroes" If so, I'd buy one for myself & both my kids.
Unfortunately though, it's just a money making tool.
Sad really.
I do love the jersey though. It looks great
