2019 Broncos Line-up

I'm more than ok moving these older guys on. Usually I'm like, experience is worth more than raw talent, but this could be a massive positive for culture

It is a fresh start. It's a chance to let these younger forwards step up and own it without being under the old heads with stale culture.

These guys can for a string bond as a group of equals. It is like when hodges was told to take a step back and let the halves play their natural game. These guys won't be afraid to get over called now. The team is theirs. It is theirs to take by the balls and make it their own. If the team fails, it's on them. If the team succeeds? It's also on them.

TPJ and OFFA seem to me like the sort of players that will revel in that sort of challenge

With all this coaching distractions and now players leaving before pre season, I can see us falling apart in 2019. There’ll be a player disconnect from the floggings and guys like tpj will definitely walk at seasons end. It’ll be interesting to see how Bennett conducts himself when the team isn’t going well.
This is so far from what will happen it's ridiculous

Just sit down a minute and breath brother

I just hope we have older, respected players around them to lead them in the right direction. Otherwise we might end up with 6 Jarryd Haynes with shitty attitudes, dreaming about playing for every club.
Again, just stupid. You do realise these players have individual personalities right??

Hasn't the class of 2008 turned into a massive disappointment? I mean most of them are good footballers, but the guys that were meant to lead us to premiership success have all come and gone (assuming the Glenn rumour is true) achieving nothing for us.

Well they replicated the 2008 NYC GF. I think that still affects them. Once Lockyer, Parker and Hodgo left, that’s who we were left with. Of course this conversation doesn’t happen if 15 went differently

This is the most ridiculous, ill-conceived statement I have ever read on BHQ! Why the hell would we go out and sign an actual halfback to steer us around the footy field. I mean, a real life, actual halfback who is actually very good and is unwanted by his own club. It's a good thing Wayne is our coach and not you, that's all I can say!

Please, next time think before you post.

On recent evidence Niko steered NZ around better than SJ did. Mind you I’d still take SJ in a heartbeat.

Have you met many footy players in real life? Most of them act exactly like Jarryd Hayne and TPJ is well on his way to becoming the next dreamer.

If we have 6 Jarryd Hayne’s in our side we’ll win the comp easily. Before he left the NRL he was a freak and would have single handily won Parra the comp if not for the cheats.

As long as they don’t all play their 9 really good games at the same time that is

Tevita Pangai Junior is nothing like Jarryd Hayne. He has probably put in more hard work this early in his career than Jarryd Hayne has in the entirety of his career. Players in the NFL are pure athletes but even the most talented do not last long if they don't put in the hard work. That's the reason I think Jarryd Hayne didn't last long there. The guy doesn't have the grit, determination and work ethic that Tevita Pangai Junior does. It is almost always about attitude and these two guys are complete opposites.

TPJ does a lot of talking, so far not a lot of doing. I want him to be great and I’m sure he will be. Just do less talking about all the work you apparently put in and let your footy do the talking

I think that is a bit unfair. He was asked to do some interviews for articles, made himself available and answered questions truthfully and honestly. Does he have an ego? What male doesn't? But he puts in the hard work and that's all you can ask. Luckily for him he has talent as well as a good work ethic. Plus he has a family that will keep him well grounded, which in my opinion is more important. I can't see him leaving the Broncos ever as he is where his family wants him to be (Just a personal opinion, you never know what the lure of a large pay check does to a young man though. Again, that is why good family support is important).

It’s not the interviews I’m talking about. It’s the social media posts. I’ve met many people like him. He’s very careful about his words and seems like he’s always trying to say the right things. We will see

Also when is he going to return from his holiday?

lol. This is complete nonsense. Wtf are you talking about?

My only concern is Nikos defence and having 3 genuine small, non fantastic tacklers in the line.

Mate with that attacking line-up, there's no need to worry. If they score 50 points, we will just score 60 lol

That's a refreshing way to look at it.
