2019 Broncos Line-up

I prefer maguire at prop but I'm not sure tpj is the long term answer there everyone thinks he is. We need an 80 minute player in the role. Gillet pretty held that part when he was fit, but I'm not suggesting him as he is both badly needed for his edge defence and may be on the downhill side of his career when he comes back (hopefully not), you just never know when it hits.
I think we should be blooding Carrigan for the role for sure and using tpj to ease him into it, or possibly bird.
Other options are Offa or Glen but I don't know if either offer the creativity we would like, although I might be wrong. Offa works hard enough and could fill the Gallen type role but I like him as a prop.

Does anyone think Boyd can bounce back this season, and at the very least add some value to the team?

I personally think this has been one of McGuire's worst seasons. Perhaps he was overshadowed by the likes of TPJ, Lodge and Offa. His defence and lateral movement can both be quite poor. A lot of breaks this season were caused by his lacklustre defence around the ruck. He needs to move back to prop.

I think so, he was coming back from injury and with a full preseason he should be better. If he's not hopefully he can take it and move to centre or retire.

I think that Jake Turpin should get first crack at dummy half next year.

Looks like a real talent.

Hearing a rumour that James Roberts has done his knee.

Would make sense going by our luck with injuries this year.

Anyone follow him on Instagram?

He apparently posted a photo of him in hospital. He was playing at the Koori Knockout and apparently did his knee there.

We would be crazy to drop Macca for Turpin. Not that i think Macca has been great, i just dont think Turpin has done anywhere near enough to push out Macca. I do think though i'd be having him on the bench and bringing him on for some impact and take it from there.

At the very least.

Yeah, I'm all for phasing Macca out, but if it's by Turpin, it needs to be gradual, he needs to continue impressing with whatever opportunities he gets.

I always thought Macca was better off being used off the bench.

Some of his better games where his service and running game actually got us on the front foot were from the bench.

At the very least.

Turpin has got to earn his spot. It really is that simple and i cant see Wayne just dropping Macca. Turpin needs to really kill it in the trials to cement even a bench spot, and Macca also needs to up his game.

While i like Turpin, i dont think he is as good as some people on here think he is currently. By that i dont mean i think he isnt a good player because i think he is, i just reckon some people just want Macca out of the side so badly they are overhyping our backup hooker.
