Why would Izaia Peres leave union and a possible wallabies jumper. Surely he must have some kind of assurance given to him and not just a dream follow.

Agreed. There would be a plan in place. He would have a horrible manager if they didn't have a somewhat direct pathway to first grade
He has to prove himself first as a Rugby league player. I don't see why we would need to give him assurances.

It is doubtful though that he'd leave the Reds and a fringe Wallaby position to play Q-Cup.
maybe he is backing himself (especially given Union is broke and the Wallabies SUCK)
He doesn't have a Broncos contract, so any "assurances" he may have received mean jack shit ...
If he is good enough (and the highlights package i saw looks very promising), he will earn a top 30 contract with us during the pre-season. I'd actually go as far as to say there is a good chance given our depth is shallow in the outside backs
Yeah it's just financial suicide if he doesn't make it lol.
Hopefully he does.

That's pretty gnarly. He is a weapon. Interesting, I'd say he would definitely be good enough to make the starting team - but who for? I doubt he displaces Corey or Jamayne.
He owns a gym at Strathpine, he's backing himself to play League. Dolphins would be giving him $40,000 train with Broncos and play with Redcliffe trying to win a contract.
There might be a bit of future planning going on, Isaako to fullback to replace Boyd next year and this guy straight on to the wing.
Hopefully an early release from contract with no pay out :')
you realise that is impossible right?
Why?
So if Bird plays great next year but struggles to fit into future plans salary cap and team cohesion wise..
Is it not possible that another club would be willing to buy out his entire contract?
Did this not just happen with Shaun Johnson and the Sharks?
