How many more comps do you think we would have won if he stayed? Surely 2011 (he wouldn't have taken out lockyer... Bloody Beale :p). I imagine he would have been captain possibly since 2011, or at least after hodgo retired.

We haven’t had a star fb of his caliber since I suspect a lot of things would be different. he’d be what 33? He’d still be playing right now I suspect, sad sad times.

I have major doubts over the intelligence of such a person and their knowledge of football

He'd be better at the Broncos (mentioning us because we have the best young forwards in the game and will therefore have the clear best pack soon. He'd also be freaky playing off TPJ offfloads), rorters, storm (until they lose Smith), or a team like Parra who thrive off second phase play. They're trying to turn him into a 5/8 at the Knights: he practically sits on the left hand side of the field in attack and Pearce hogs the ball.

I think it's gun halves are really hard to find and it easier to replace a fullback than it is a half so it's an easy way to keep a good player in the team while adding another.

Yeah it's dumb. Brown comes off as a brainlet though, so he probably bought into the whole Ponga = Lockyer media ramblings.

ponga was back at the back by round 4, brown is a dumb ****, but he fixed the errors of his ways unlike some other coach who played a 1 and 6 out of position for 12 games

I thought you were like his biggest supporter. I seem to recall a 1 (Milford) playing at 6 and a 6/14 (KNik) playing at 7 throughout his whole final year here.

He still played Ponga like a 5/8 in attack though. Compare the way Ponga played to Teddy.
