That was one of the best days of sport I’ve ever seen, everything was just flat out amazing. Where do you start?

- That medley relay was so good, epic!
- Logan’s Run and then that insane bike flip move
- The British girl doing something never been done before
- McKeon taking the 50 gold
- a 1500m final with 1 second in it
- Sailing gold
- That volleyball game
- The Hockeyroos winning on penalties
- A world record in the triple jump for the first time in 25 years
- One of the best and closest high jump finals ever and then the reaction to gold from Italy
- Italy winning the 100m for the first time ever, all three running PBs
- Bol setting an Aussie 800m record and going into the final as a legit gold medal chance
- false starts and falls claiming champions everywhere
- the carnage in the F1 and I’m sure I’ve missed a lot

Yeah that was the best relay I’ve seen since that epic relay between the Aussies and USA at the Sydney Olympics.

And that bike front flip by Logan in the BMX freestyle, that was awesome. I was expecting him to pull off that move in the first run, but he does have a tendency to save his best for last.

A deliberate omission, the NRL sucks as you highlighted there, there aren’t any great sport moments coming out of it this year.

they say Cate Campbell hit the water too quick.

the stats show that Australia had the quickest aggregate exchange time of all 8 finalists (0.49 seconds); while America had the slowest aggregate exchange time of all 8 finalists (1.09 seconds)

So the kiwis actually have a bloke competing in the women’s weightlifting. Gee up. You can’t be a man for 30+ years, take some hormones and then compete as a woman.

this is not progress for women at all. I bet the other competitors are pissed AF. This guy is old so he probably won’t win, but it sets the precedent.

If a trans boy wanted to race in my daughters race I’d be so pissed.

The Hockeyroos take on India in their Quarter Final match at 1PM today.

If Australia turn up to play, this should be a win for them. India have only had 2 wins so far and just barely scraped through to the Quarter Final. If they advance to the Semi Final, they will play the winner out of Germany and Argentina which is going to be a very tough match regardless of who makes it through.
