Interestingly, Southgate has made a couple of changes.

Sterling and Saka have been demoted to the bench with Rashford and Phoden promoted to the starting side. Kane and Bellingham moved up front. Maguire and Walker replacing Trippier and Shaw at fullback with Shaw moved to a centre defensive position.

If the handball doesn't occur, the ball goes straight to the GK.

Either way.....it clearly touches his wrist/hand....and changes the flight of the ball.

Watching the replay of the England game, Southgate needs to start Rashford from now on.

He's been in good form this year and has played a key role in Man United's turnaround, and he's carried that form into this WC.

He just troubles the defence with his speed. He's good at catching out defenders and making runs in behind the line and either scoring from it or setting up someone else. He scored two goals against Wales, one of them with those runs in behind the defence, and regained possession which led to England scoring their second in the match. He was unlucky not to have a hat-trick, if Kane's pass just had a fraction less power on it, it would have been a goal.

He's been providing a good spark this year and deserves to be in the starting side.
