I think Bhunt spent more time at lock than Tino.

Billy's rotation was all over the shop that game.

I can understand wanting Bhunt and Grant on the field at the same time, but he ran Patty into the ground and didnt seem to have anyone else out there playing prop with him.

Also a total lack of meters from the back 5... who actually made meters other than Patty in that game
Taulagi made decent metres from the back 5 but everyone else got dominated.

Give Cobbo a break, he was poor but he is a kid. He won't have any issue getting up for the decider at his home ground in front of crazy fans screaming his name.
Which is why he shouldn't have been picked for game 1, he's a kid. Once you're picked in rep sides you can't fall back on that. Good enough = old enough in rep footy.

Another positive note: if Cobbo is dropped (almost certain] he’ll be available for the Dragons game and fresh for the Titans.

He will have a blinder in origin 3. Kids always struggle in their second game. Is it a coincidence that Nanai struggled as well? The team was in it up to their eyeballs, winning in fact until Klein did his thing as he usually does. After that, the team was stuffed and the errors compounded that. I am all for giving most of these guys the chance to atone. Lets not forget they beat this team under fairer rules in the first game and were well ahead in this one until it was taken away from them. They will be fine in game 3.

Nanai shouldn't have been picked either. I said in the lead up, picking kids is dangerous and shouldn't be done unless absolutely required.

Honestly some of those calls were baffling. Phantom 6 agains, a no advantage played after 4 passes, escort on Holmes, atrocious sin bin and a 3 man strip by Burton! Combine that with crucial errors from Cobbo and Tauilagi and the game was done.
Billy needed to ring the changes earlier in 2nd half.
Should be plenty of encouragement for Game 3.

Unsurprisingly, I disagree with you. They did fine, great in fact, in game 1. Suddenly, they get refereed out of the contest and it is so easy to come out and say they shouldn't have been picked.

Yet we go to the HOME decider 1-1.

1. Ponga/ Munster (Depending on HIA)
2. Oates
3. Hamiso
4. Gagai (Last Game)
5. Holmes
6. Munster/ Tom Dearden
7. DCE?? (Maybe last series if a loss??)
8. Papali (Last game)
9. Hunt
10. Tino
11. Kapewell
12. Felise (Last game i would say)
13. Carrigan

14. Grant
15. Flegler
16. Arrow
17. Collins

Dont think Slater got his bench selection wrong just had that bin threw a spanner in the works. Gagai isn't cutting it anymore, i think going to newcastle killed his game, he would nearly lead the game in missed tackles. (10th) If cotter isn't fit then pat to start. Collins is far more effective coming of the bench, and Hammer is a good replacement for gags coming through i reckon

Blame refs all you like, 60 missed tackles is pathetic and says it all.

This. They can blame the refs all they want (and Slater should absolutely be organising a Fittler style meeting to discuss things...particularly the 15mins leading into half time) but there's no excuse for 60 missed tackles and just bending over like you couldn't give a shit. I'm as ropeable as the next guy about Klein but I'm even more ropeable at the guys on the field that just bent over and handed NSW some lube.

Don't blame the refs. Ref didn't make them miss shit loads of tackles, and drop the ball all the time.

As I correctly said before the series, it's too soon for the likes of Cobbo and Nanai.
