Based on squads there are not too many teams that will regress next year, at least not a great deal.

Even parra, despite losing mahoney and ipap they could still easily be 5-6 if hodgson and matterson rediscover and maintain form respectively. Soni Luke looks an amazing replacement for korisau for the panthers. Garner and hosking will be ok in a great teM but definitely a downgrade to kikau, dont think theyll skip a beat though, he was a luxury in their juggernaut. Canberra haven't improved their squad but will be better after the laste season run I think

Every other club looks to have improved their roster.

What do we think the chances are of Peeks unseating Riki? I’ve been really impressed with him in Q Cup now he’s got a run on. Riki though seems to have a mortgage on the 12 jersey. Capewell too who was so busted in the back end of the season he shouldn’t have been playing.

I'm giving Nikorima the edge here since Bennett was a fan of the Milford/Nikorima combo towards the end of his stint at the Broncos. However I can see the Dolphins rotating their halves pairing frequently through out the season and O'Sullivan will feature there at some point (with Kodi going 14).

The main point I wanted to get across with the Dolphins is the need to push new talent. If the Dolphins are going to be successful you're going to see that mixture of talent. That may not happen from Round 1, especially since players like Graham are on development deals. However towards the back-end of the season, these rookies need to become regulars.

At this stage, I largely see him as a bench player who may get the odd starting spot.

If one player was to come in, it'd be Robati.

Yes, but those players aren't going to have the chance to play alongside these veterans or be coached under Wayne so you want to get some of these players initiated.

Totally agree, was just an observation. I think getting in all the old blokes will pay dividends for The down the right. They are trying to play the long game and I respect that. They’ve even already identified their second head coach.

For the record, I had the biggest issue drafting the Sea Eagles, Dragons, Warriors and Tigers line-ups. I feel like I largely got there in the end with the Sea Eagles with the exception that I couldn't remember Brad Parker's name but the other three I feel I could do better with.

Any suggestions on the Dragons, Warriors & Tigers? I'd be keen to see some different 17s.

I was impressed with his game in the final round of the season.

IMO, if Peeks stays on the field, Riki will have a fight on his hands to keep his spot in the team (at least his starting spot)

I'd be surprised if Kodi wasn't starting the year at 14. Although it would be very Wayne to think 'this time' with Milf and Kodi.

Interesting that you’ve given Willison the nod over guys like Palasia, Robati, or Piakura.

Im a big fan of Xavier (the only Xavier I will ever acknowledge as a bronco) but personally I would give Robati first crack at an extended run on the bench.
