2023 State of Origin Discussion

Pretty bummed if they've picked him tbh. It's too soon for him I think, I just hope if he has a bit of a shocker it doesn't damage him.

I just don't think I could have picked Ponga. The slightest knock yesterday and he stayed down for a couple of seconds. Yes, he got back on but it looked pretty bad at the time.

But Ponga would be playing 1 not 6, so that should help. I just refuse to believe they will drop the guy who won the series last year until I see it and if they have dropped him, it is just not the QLD way.

I agree, so there must be a very real reason if he has been dropped. It's not what we do. It would have to be something to do with Kaylans welfare.

Apparently that is the reason.

The selectors felt like they have a duty of care for Ponga after the amount of concussions he's had in the past 10 months. I imagine the HIA on the weekend is what triggered that.

That's actually disgusting. I would 1000% have Gags over TUalagi. At least it's not Coates I suppose. And I'm scared for Walsh.
