That is a tough first five weeks.

Also, we seem to have more Saturday games than usual.

We have a really tough start of the year, but it's a relativly easy run home (round 19 onwards). But who knows who will stand out/fall off this year.

Teams they play twice

Three teams who made the finals last year appear twice on the Broncos' draw, with double meetings set down against the Roosters, Panthers and Storm. Brisbane also have two games against the Rabbitohs and Eels along with Queensland rivals the Cowboys, Dolphins and Titans.

Teams they play once

The Broncos see last year's three bottom placed sides – Wests Tigers, Dragons and Bulldogs just once – along with the Knights (A), Warriors (A), Sharks (H), Raiders (H) and Sea Eagles, the latter of which is an away game at Suncorp in Magic Round.

Day-by-day breakdown

  • Thursday: 4 games (2 home, 2 away)
  • Friday: 8 games (5 home, 3 away)
  • Saturday: 10 games (4 home, 6 away)
  • Sunday: 2 games (1 home, 1 away)

Turnaround time

  • 5 days: 1 game
  • 6 days: 4 games
  • 7+ days: 18 games
The Broncos will have just one five-day turnaround in 2024 – their final round regular season game of the year when they take on the Storm at Suncorp five days after facing off against the Dolphins. Their biggest turnaround time is 15 days between a Round 15 clash against the Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium followed by a bye and then a trip to New Zealand to face the Warriors in Auckland in Round 17.

The draw is meant to be impartial yet we always seem to play high rating teams twice season after season… it also seems like we’ve gotten the wahs the game directly after an origin game and the storm in the last round for a few years running now.

The byes are good for us, however.

I think it's really about maximising crowds/audiences. Looking at the NSW clubs which we have to play twice Rabbits, Eels, Penrith, and Roosters - all are pretty big clubs with decent memberships. Probably don't want to waste the Broncos on small venues/crowds like the Sharks, Manly, etc.

It's always inevitable that we will play the qld clubs + Melbourne twice every year.

I don't hate it, the start could be iffy but still it's very doable if we carry on our late season form. The rest of the draw is great, no real hard patches and a few easy runs

Would you look at that, Auckland three days after Origin. I'm shocked.

At least it's in bloody Auckland next year so I can go. Been 4 years since I got to see the boys play live, last time round was 2019 when Milf wound up scoring what would be the match-sealing try for us in a real bludger of a game.

So since I am a member for next year which six games should I go to
