That hiding is on us .. not them.

We deserved to be eliminated. That's on us too.

If we are Storms ***** .. well that's only a position we put ourselves in.

We're responsible. No sense, and no point in blaming anyone else, it doesn't achieve anything.

*decade of hidings.

At least Panthers give us a competetive game during their dynasty.

‘73 was my first GF and seen them all except when manly flogged the storm. I honestly think I will give this a miss as it will be a massive wankfest over Cleary and his shoulder.
Beside that I’ll always be a fan of daytime GFs , usually half pissed and almost asleep by the time they get around to kick off in these night time ones.

I may be wrong but wasnt our 2000 GF win over the rorters the last day time GF?

Panthers I suppose. Means we only lost to the greatest team of all time. Also, panthers don’t steal from the SEQ player nursery. They develop their own juniors and contribute to the game. F the storm.

Until they have a team of majority victorians I refuse to acknowledge them as a valid contributor to the game of rugby league.

No other team will ruin my enjoyment of the sport as much as the Storm. Literally skipping 2 rounds a year because it's an almost forgone conclusion, and you're more relieved when you dont lose by 20+. That is the Storms relationship with Brisbane.

The stats are insane, and they're worth a thread on their own.

Us: "Brisbane is one of the greatest clubs in Rugby League"
Melbourne Storm : "nah, not even close"

I'll NEVER support Melbourne. Regardless of any grubby tactics etc. it's the blatant salary cap cheating that robbed us and others of Grand Finals and Premierships that I will never get over. "Never forget, never forgive"

So it's sadly Penrith who I hope wins.

The question I have for anyone who wants to answer, is who do you think will win, regardless of who you hope wins?

I think Penrith will win quite comfortably, 14-16 point margin. If Penrith do their normal terminator completion rate I don't think Melbourne stand a chance.

Will be interesting to see two teams who are masters of ignoring rules around the ruck annd play the ball go head to head.

Crazy how this time last year I was flying down to see our idiots do what they did, and this year I won't even bother watching

I don't think Penrith have played as well as they can very often this season, and it's hard to see them getting up for a 4th straight title.

I just hope this is the last year of the Storm, Penrith, Roosters trifecta of shit-**** clubs that get away with every thing they can and are always in the top 4 come finals.

It's getting boring

Nah **** Penrith.

Let's go Melbourne.

I like to think of myslef as a pretty big Rugby League fan on top of a Broncos fan but these two teams in the Grand final was the last outcome i wanted.

I'm interested in what type if game it will be. Being the two stanout teams by a mile it should be a cracker. However i found every finals game that involved them to be rubbish and far less enjoyable then when the other 6 teams played eachother. I'll be interested to see if that was because the Storn and Panthers brand of footy is unlikeable and not entertaining or if it was just because they are so much better then everyone else. If its a close game but still boring I'll have my answer.

In any scenario, given the fashion in which we have lost our last two grand finals. I want this one to be decided in the most heart breaking way possible. I'll let someone else comment on what a more heartbreaking loss then our two would looks like.

I reckon Penrith win, the spine is pretty even but just on work rate I reckon Dylan Edwards will be the difference. I actually think the outside backs of Penrith will be the difference.

I want Storm to win at least they have some Qlders to cheer for. I think Penrith will win.
Slightly better forward pack than Storm even with NAS.

Things I will be watching for.

Keen to see if Bellyache has some different tactics/trick shots. I suspect he targets Alamoti a bit and has an advantage in the air with his wingers.
How The riff defend the bombs (how much they get away with ) could be the difference.

Harry Grant can expect a lot of traffic in the first half, they will get him at marker and keep turning the ball back under to take his legs away as much as possible

Same goes for Cleary, his shoulder will be tested. It will be interesting if they use similar tactics to the chooks when they did a fantastic job hiding Cronk or he just takes them on.
Bellamy may have learnt a thing or 2 from that chooks GF loss as well, how much to chase Cleary or just forget about it and play their own game.

Hughs V Cleary match up will be epic. Hughs has been awesome all year but Cleary does step up in the big moments.

Munster stayed at Storm specifically to win Premierships and like Cleary loves the big stage.

Paps v Edwards another match up both been carrying some niggles but looked to be near their best last game.

There's a lot to this game I'm looking forward too seeing unfold.
