Souths drop it and Toowoomba just move to an overlap and winger scores untouched.

Toowoomba 22-12

Looks like not Latrell Latrell is also following the NRL team plan of regressing.

nice play by Black to Milf to let Not Latrell Latrell through to score

Good try to Siegwalt right on half-time, shades of the Broncos '08 with the behind the back into an inside pass ball.

Thought the Magpies were going too side to side that set, but the Clydesdales held off and the Magpies kept at it. Good work from Eggerling to get them on the front foot and Milford controlled things nicely.

Toowoomba have to keep Souths to one try this half to win.

Just stop Milford.

Would love to see some more outside inside plays brought back into our game.

It's definitely a play that should be used with Cobbo, but Walsh's speed and running game would make it extremely dangerous as well ... it would also give Walsh some touches where he HAS to run it.

He doesn't have a choice between run and pass, the only choice he has is run.

Toowoomba playing dumb. Penalties just let Souths not have to do any hard work, they want to just attack 20m out.

Interesting that Coby has a left hand carry... or is that just something I've noticed on the couple times he's had a run?

Not what I expected for a right sided half with a right footed kick

Toowoomba take the Mozer dummy.

@Big Pete where do you stand on Black?

I am still where I was two years ago, is happy to stay on the right kick bombs out of right side and shovel it on. If he shows a little bit of initiative the game will be already finished like today when he chipped at the 79th minute.

I am not sure if it's a lack of vision or confidence to me it is worrying that your team racks up 50 and your half doesn't have three big try contributions. That's a reoccurring theme this year for Souths. He's not playing badly but he's just doing busy work.

From today's game he looked like an Ilias type of halfback... just being a cog in the system, but never really trying to take the game on.

He was straightening up and digging into the line enough, but you could tell that he was never actually going to run it... so he wasn't really a threat.

In contrast a Galvin type half wants to touch it and throw something at the defence as many times as he can... it's not always Walsh levels of Hollywood ball with cutouts, etc. but Galvin will try a short ball to the edge backrower, a show and go to run himself or just fit into a block sweep play.

An Ilias type half looks like they're just waiting on the edge for when the team wants to run a block play, and will then do his role in the play.

Coby didn't seem too dissimilar to what he showed in the U19's origin game last year or whenever it was... just seemed to play to a system, but wasn't really looking to take the defence on

Ezra has the same amount of try assists and nearly the same amount of line break assists as Coby does from playing just one game...

Coby still has time to develop into a great player, but if we're here same time next year saying the same thing, we're probably in trouble.
