Any team that are genuinely interested in him would be offering that or more.

Rorters would throw that kind of money at him as a Teddy replacement.

Without Reece and Reynolds we were pretty much bottom 4... see origin period this year... and one of them is gone at the end of next year.
I personally think it’s too much but time will be the judge
I hope I’m wrong

Mam being busted and then broken would be an important footnote too. I expect Ezra to play like he has a point to prove next year.

You have to pay for a generational type talent, its still less than what Ponga is on I believe, comparable with Cleary at Penrith and less than Walker is chasing. The salary cap also continues to go up annually I believe.

How did they shake hands if he's away on holiday?

I don't think he's there yet... he's only been required to own his edge and he doesn't really do that at all yet.

It looks like he wants to break free from the shackles and be more involved though, so maybe next year will be a break out for him.

If true, pretty close to market value

Teddy / Turbo / D Edwards are all in front of him .
I`d even put the 2nd stringer Trey Fuller from the Dolphins in front of him .

I think he only plays one side of the ball . Isn`t worth the same money as the 1st three I listed .
Too many hail Mary plays . Too many errors and a weak defender .Puts his team mates under pressure too often . Then abuses them when his high pressure plays don`t come off .
He might draw in teenage girls to training . But he has much to learn as an NRL full back IMO .

from 9 news
"The total deal over five years is worth $5 million … for all intents and purposes, he is a million-dollar per year player now."

That’s a pretty good deal

I would agree with Teddy and Edwards as they are consistently excellent. Turbo is so injury prone you'll get 5-10 good games a year out of him. They're also not resigning in the current climate so not like for like.

Those blokes are older than Walsh as well so expect more from them.

And Turbo is a horrible defender btw.

And Turbo is a horrible defender btw.

4 years in 1st grade and Walsh has some major deficiencies when his team doesn`t have the ball .

Will he get it together in his 5th or 6th season ?

Re Turbo
He might actually attempt to tackle so extra points for that . LOL .
You forget he has played centre for NSW ? If he couldn`t tackle he would be exposed pretty quickly . Do you reckon Walsh could defend at centre in Origin ?

He is better then all of them, those Fullbacks complement the team they are in they are not the main focal point of attack for the team because they simply don't have the ability for it.

Sure Walsh has defensive frailties in his game but he will provide several more chances for points than give away the same in any game, compare him to any other player in the game and the only one that comes close from the individual attacking creation efforts would be Ponga.

He missed alot of games this year due to unlucky impact injuries but surely your memory stretches back a bit longer than that.

Besides maybe outside Edwards who is in his late 20s now has already seen their best footy already, Walsh is still in his early 20s and will most likely get better.

To say that Trbo and Tedesco haven’t been the main focal point of their teams attack over the years is a take I can’t agree with

In current times it's the case, since that's what matters.

If there are people that genuinely thought we were going to be able to re-sign Reece Walsh for under $1 million, can I ask what rock have you been living under?

Get out from under it and get a dose of reality.

So that's 27 players under contract for 2025. With rumours that Baker, Hetherington and Paix are on the outer, the Broncos would have still fulfilled their obligation to announce a 24 man squad by November 1st. With Black and Semu confirmed on development deals, I presume Trew is sticking around and Bukowski would be in the mix with Allen, Armstrong, Innes, Bryce, Vunipola etc. there-abouts.

I think it's that time again to play everybody's favourite game: the Price is Right.

Brisbane Broncos 2025 edition

Let's round it up to the closest 100

Jesse Arthars - 400K
Fletcher Baker - 400K
Patrick Carrigan - 900K
Selwyn Cobbo - 600K
Jack Gosiewski - 100K
Payne Haas - 1.1 Million
Kobe Hetherington - 400K
Delouise Hoeter - 100K
Jaiyden Hunt - 100K
Corey Jensen - 400K
Israel Leota - 100K
Jock Madden - 300K
Ezra Mam - 800K
Deine Mariner - 400K
Blake Mozer - 300K
Cory Paix - 300K
Brendan Piakura - 600K
Adam Reynolds - 700K
Jordan Riki - 600K
Tyson Smoothy - 300K
Kotoni Staggs - 800K
Martin Taupau - 200K
Ben Te Kura - 400K
Reece Walsh - 500K
Billy Walters - 400K
Xavier Willison - 400K

11.6, so unfortunately for me, that's over the cap and can't be the case. That's even before adjusting to the minimum which is $130K.

I'm clearly off on a few of these, are there any projections there that are clearly off?

Is Ezra really on 800K.....and looking for more?

**** that......
