2026 NRL General Discussion Thread

Was the winger playing for the Broncos? No one at all went up and had a go at this moron.

From all the issues that are wrong with the Broncos at the moment .. for me anyway .. this is the one that hurts the most.

They just don’t seem to care anymore.

Very careless - looks like he wasn't expecting him to jump, and fully committed ages before the ball gets there.

Dumb enough to play for the Broncs, for sure.

But doesn’t that just emphasise the fact that he was always playing the man instead of the ball?

This is hillarious.

It's dumb.

Apparently a young fella died recently after participating.
I just don’t get it - the NRL are running scared about getting sued down the track but surely whoever is organising these comps are almost certain to face law suits for injuries sooner or later.

It's not smart people participating. They will all be happy signing waivers and declarations that they have been informed of the risks and participate through their own free will.

I can’t imagine waivers would be effective though given the NRL’s stance otherwise they’d just get players to sign up.

They probably wouldn't hold up under scrutiny, but I am assuming:

* The "sport" is just a new flash in the pan, those participating are almost certainly are doing it for a bit of fun or bragging rights, there is no expectation of this being anything like a career or job where WHS rules would apply. It's like the piece of paper you sign when you play skirmish for fun, it'll never hold up in court but it makes everyone feel better.
* Whoever are organising it will likely be a bunch of bros who have roped in some sponsors and are enjoying social media success, but are nothing close to being an organised group or sporting body, therefore they aren't thinking far enough ahead to anticipate any potential future legal action (or even being around long term should shit happen).

The above are just assumptions, I haven't looked in to any of it TBH, which is a very me thing to do.

this is where we're at now.

Money > Self-preservation.

Brain damage for clicks.
Yep, spend 5 minutes on insta reels and all you see is dumb shit things.

Like the group of mates who prank each other to the point of injury.
