2026 NRL Player Movements & Rumours

He should have never have been an immortal so quickly, especially while Lockyer is still waiting but that was a pretty sensational series by Johns.
The NSW media have already placed Smith, Slater and Cronk ahead of Lockyer. He's never going to be an Immortal.

Just like the tea leaves always say, anyone who leaves Melbourne turns to shit, no exceptions

Yep that was the call re Anderson .
I posted saying handy pick up , good professional who plays multiple positions .

"Nah it`s just the Melbourne set up . He will fall apart once he leaves Melbourne. "

Now it`s , Oh we shouldn`t let him go to the Wahs he`s too good .

Cliches and generalisations are the currency here .

It is a shame he's leaving, he balances out the backline very nicely. Hopefully he still has a big role to play this season.

I heard Dobbo ( I know , I know ) say Anderson was training at #6 a few weeks back .
I was surprised the Storm let him go .

Drinkwater will reportedly sign a e year, $3 million deal with the Dragons in the next 48 hours.

Looks like they are follow the lead of the Titans (when the lured Fifita away from us) and bidding against themselves

Here is what Drinkwater's manager, Gavin Orr said:

“The Dragons are the only one who have been fair dinkum with their offer, so that’s what we’re focusing on.

“I’ve had numerous clubs ring me asking what the price and once I tell them the price, they are reluctant to go to that $1m to $1.1m mark,”

“I’ve had clubs like Melbourne and Wests Tigers ring to make an inquiry and whether he would move to play six, but I’ve been straight with the clubs.

P.s. I'd be seriously surprised if either the Tigers or Storm have any interest in Drinkwater as a 6

In other news, Ponga has extended his contract at the Knights through until the end of 2030

Tom Chester has signed a 3 year contract extension at the Cowboys

Newcastle fans seem to be excited by this.

When was the last he played out near enough to a full season?

KP is overrated, but, with the exception of Crossland, the Knights have a great spine going forward. I wonder if Sharpe will leave to get an opportunity at fb elsewhere (rorters might unload a dump truck of cash on the golf course)

KP will kill it when he returns. He got unlucky with that hamstring injury too I thought, being shoved from behind at full speed which forced him to overstride.

Drinkwater signing seems underwhelming, fullbacks don't age well compared with other spine players and he's 29 soon.

Anyone half decent is a serious spine upgrade for the Dragons. Not that I would race out to sign Drinkwater.

Beggars can’t be choosers. No one wants to go to the Dragons so they have to overpay for anyone half decent which describes Drinkwater exactly. Decent with the ball, terrible without
