Footy players aren’t the greatest fighters. Only like 1/10 punches thrown ever lands. It does get the heart pumping and up the excitement for the spectator though.

There was a game just after the rule came in where players were slapping each other. From memory Gould was commentating and that little indigenous halfback Chris something from Cherbourg who played for souths was one of them. @Big Pete surely you remember this. No one got sent because they didn’t punch each other they slapped each other.

Joke was on us, four players got binned in Game II. Tate got binned for getting punched, Bird got binned simply out of principal.

Don’t think so. There was a slo mo replay of two players slapping each other and the commentator(I believe Gould) just shaking his head in disbelief at what the game had become.

I am lost for words. Is he drunk? Or foxing with the Blues? Or trying to put a rocket up the Broncos boys, being involved in the club they might take this personally? As much as I love to only see one Bronco name there, I really really hope this is not the team we run out with.
