Nathan McSweeney (SA/Glenelg Cricket Club) (c)

Cameron Bancroft (WA/Willeton District Cricket Club)

Scott Boland (VIC/Frankston Peninsula Cricket Club)

Jordan Buckingham (SA/West Torrens Cricket Club)

Cooper Connolly (WA/Scarborough Cricket Club)

Ollie Davies (NSW/Manly Warringah District Cricket Club)

Marcus Harris (VIC/St Kilda Cricket Club)

Sam Konstas (NSW/Sutherland District Cricket Club)

Mark Steketee (QLD/Valley District Cricket Club)

Beau Webster (TAS/Kingborough Cricket Club)

Strong side, I like it.

All those players will get a go which is exciting, though not sure Boland needs to be there. I know he's been injured but you know what you will get with him, could come back via Victoria, Neser too potentially with Qld. I imagine though the key fringe guys in Webster, Konstas, Davies, etc.

Interesting no Renshaw, Hardie or Inglis.

From that squad, my first choice Aus A would be:

1. Konstas
2. Harris
3. McSweeney (c)
4. Philippe (wk)
5. Davies
6. Webster
7. Connolly
8. Neser
9. O'Neill
10. Murphy
11. Boland

That's a strong side that bats seriously deep too.

Actually thinking about it, would we assume Inglis and Hardie are likely in the Aussie squad?

Botha not coaching the Bulls on Sunday, he's in Perth running an ultra-marathon.

Wade Townsend will coach.

I am not too sure the Bulls are in a position for the coach to be having games off.

The most ridiculous thing I have heard tbh. The Botha Appointment is getting worse by the day.

We chose to bowl first at AB and haven’t taken an early wicket. Wow that’s not great

Hearne drops an easy catch on debut off Whitney also on debut.

Four overs into his career is too early for me to make a call.

Obviously. He's a baby but I've seen him bowl in OD and he looks a basic medium pacer. I'm just wondering if they see him doing something in nets, etc that implies he does anything other than off the straight and bowling sit up and hit me bouncers.

I'm not writing him off, I'm not seeing anything there that would have me playing him over Wildermuth for example. Obviously Vidler is unfortunately injured, otherwise you'd assume he is in instead anyway.

Well Hunt might have got away with one there. Oh he has. It hit Clayton on the foot and bounced up to be caught by Renshaw. It was really unclear live and the umpires understandably gave it not out but it actually was.

Nisbet looks pretty good. That whole next gen group of him, Vidler, Beardman, Straker etc have a lot going for them.
