25 Years 25 Moments DVD - Collectors Edition

Yeah I am keen on buying this. Gotta see if the boss will let me buy it.

I'm glad it's got the 2006 Grand Final Replay. Ever since Bigpond's league archive was taken down, the only way to watch it was by paying $25 to Rugby League Films. For some reason, the commercial DVD has become non-existent and unattainable. Paying another $25 to get all six grand finals plus the 25 mini-docos is much better value.

I'll see if it's at the Broncos superstore at the leagues club next time im there. Very keen on buying this

Speaking of old games, Brisbane vs. Parramatta Round 13 2002 is about to air on FoxSports 1 at 6:30pm.

I remember I was sleeping over at my mates house that night. It was shown live in NSW for some reason. Was absolutely gutted we lost.

Some real blasts from the past in that Parra team - Moggy, Brad Drew the nugget, Adam Dykes, Mick Vella, and so on.

This game was two days after Origin II and a week after the famous 'Baby Broncos' clash.

Shane Walker is sporting a porno mo.

The ANZ ground staff keep playing music during general play. That 'Hey Baby' song was playing when the boys were doing nothing but getting it outside of their half. I sort of miss that.

Scott Minto on the bench :w00t:

I wonder, do they have highlights of Chris Walker bombing tries because of his ego.

First half is over.

Lockyer is having a shocker.

Mogg stood him up completely for Parra's first try, it was an embarrassing effort. It was topped later on when a daring kick for Chris Walker backfired pretty terribly. Luke Burt predicted the play, rushed past Lockyer before finding Lyon on the outside who turned it back inside to Moodie to score.

Still has the odd moment of magic and his long distance kicking game is awesome but not a good night so far for the Broncos custodian.

Turned out to be a master-stroke.

Prince suffered a leg injury trying to tackle Vella head on, which allowed McGuire to shift into the halves, Kelly into centres and Minto to the wing.

Brisbane were such a sketchy side.

From memory that was Prince's comeback game from his broken leg. And he broke it again

Yeah thats right Coxy, such a bad run of injuries in that period he played for us.

Second game back I believe, he definitely played the week before.

Was rotten luck, he was looking very handy out there.

No your right Big Pete, he played the previous week against the Tigers.

I only knew because they made a point of it on commentary. :001_tt2:

I honestly don't remember this game at all. I remember the result, I remember hating Parra because of it but what happened on the field was a blur.

And difficult to make too many comments as Fox's coverage was just extended highlights that skipped large 5-10 minute chunks of action, but there was enough there to comment on.

Watching this, I assume this was one of our 'average' performances. Decent effort to make it 22-18 after being 22-6 down with 20 to go but way too many weak efforts and silly mistakes for it to be considered a good performance. I think Lockyer's performance summed it up. Had a real go and came up with some big plays, but his instincts failed him at times and he just didn't do the 1%ers that would have made a big difference. Still, came up with some fantastic runs and a beautiful tackle on McFadden who should have scored for all money. A brilliant try saving tackle which deserves credit.

I thought our big problem was our pack. Unsure if it was because of Bennett's gameplan or they were just crap, but they were mostly unsighted as Parra kept forcing us backwards. The only forward who really stood up was Webby who kept bending the line, the rest, aside from the odd moment, were fairly unsighted. It's one of those chicken or the egg situations. Were they crap because the Broncos kept trying to play expansive footy, or were the halves trying to play expansive because the forwards were crap? At the end of the day, they were barely making 25m a set, while Parra were making up to 80m.

Still, I enjoy watching these games. 2002 was a good blend for me, it was when I was a fan without studying the internet or magazines. I just enjoyed watching good footy.
