Im saying he hasn't become a fat shit since last year, he's bulked up but to say his legs are blobs attached to a fat ass is a huge overstatement. The fact he's bulked up doesn't mean he will be a Barba case

On the 9s it was disappointing but a team full of young fellas playing in this is a fair bit different from when the season proper starts. Better to wait til after a few rounds to make a call of them.

Pretty meh as a Broncos fan.

Obviously we played like shit, Milford was uninspiring, but all in all none of it bothers me because it was pretty clear we had no intentions of taking the tournament seriously, so I can't really make a judgement.

Gavet looks like a strong runner.
Parcell looks to be a decent player.
Eden looks pacey.
Maranta still makes unforgivable mistakes as a winger.

All in all though, there's not enough game time, it's too early in the preseason and there was no intention of winning so it's all pretty worthless analysing material.

I was obviously making light of conclusions being drawn by some people after 36 minutes of 9's footy, and I used sarcasm to do it, something you're all too familiar with!

- Milford is fat, and is going to be another Barba... **** him off!
- Eden is pretty quick and had an amazing 10 minutes of footy. He should be our fullback!

I admit my post was predominately said in jest. I'm extremely glad Milford is playing for our club. The point I was trying to make is that we all have our individual favourites and we all have our scapegoats. I understand the Nines tournament is probably not the best vehicle to assess a player's form but it can't be a bet each way.

What I mean by that is if, for example, Eden or whoever played well the attitude can't be "Who cares? It's only the Nines" while guys like Glenn and McCullough, who under performed, get a free pass because...well... "Who cares? It's only the Nines."

Based on the last few seasons the two points you made seem at odds with each other. You ask if I expect Milford to "pull **** out of his arse?" My response is well isn't that one of the reasons we signed him? Isn't that what he did for the Raiders on a pretty regular basis? Score and set up tries when not much was doing? Maybe it was new club jitters, maybe he was conserving himself for a big start to the season proper. It's hard to tell.

Your other point about poor ball security is not just limited to our U20s. Banana hands is an affliction which is rife through our first grade squad as well over the last 2-3 seasons. Incomplete sets, dropped balls, etc especially at crucial times is practically gifting the two points to the opposition.

Now I'm no longer referring to you personally [MENTION=7802]broncos4life[/MENTION] because I don't know what your take is on the players I mention below but what's interesting to me is that it looks like errors from team mates seems to be a perfectly valid excuse for Milford not performing whereas Wallace, Norman, Prince, Hoffman couldn't really produce much under the same circumstances but were pretty much bagged mercilessly. I find that really interesting.
