9's day 1 wrap up

We finally will have the prop we've all been waiting for!

I thought our juniors were left for dead by the other juniors that went to the nines, which goes to show
just what a good development system we have there we have access to more juniors than any other
club in the NRL but WELFARE and DEVELOPMENT of these kids let the club down big time. IMO

Our error count was pretty disappointing. It doesn't matter how many players of Milford's talent are in the side - tough to win games if we keep dropping the ball.

Same as last year no points in us,defence will be ok but will find it hard to score points!!!!!

That's what you have taken from a nines tournament without close to all of our first grade squad?... cool

Milford will be fine, we'll go heaps better this year.

We will only know how good he is in the halves after he has to make 20+ tackles in a game and then try and put on and set up attacking plays. All his good form is at fullback where he only has to make a couple of tackles a game.

These will be our players once we get a few injuries, something to look forward to.

Like every team. You can't have superstars sitting around as depth mate. Further to that alot of these guys are depth, depth. They aren't first drop and even if they were it's a big difference coming into the first grade team that is experienced and gelled as opposed to a team of mostly rookies that have barely played together.

I don't think we should get to worked up about the less then impressive nines performance.

The biggest thing I took out of the whole weekend was that most players these days have fucking horrible haircuts.

I suppose Corey thought it was a good idea at the time.

LOL.....Milford not performing in a friendly game of touch

= Peter Wallace's 4 yrs of **** with Brisbane.

You're off your head....

Get over yourself, mate. The point I'm making is that if a player doesn't play well why can't we just say that? Whether it's a friendly game of touch, an NRL game or 4 years. If they play bad why can't we just say it and leave excuses at the the door. The excuses thrown about for Milford have been embarrassing.

Milford did not have a good Nines tournament. To say otherwise, I think is inaccurate. Does that mean we bought a dud? Of course not. Does that mean he won't deliver when the season starts - Of course not. It simply is what it is.

I've resolved this season to commenting on what players actually deliver rather than what they potentially could deliver. Crazy idea, I know.
