OFFICIAL Adam Reynolds Becomes A Bronco From 2022

It's on the NRL site, interestingly enough, it looks like the club hasn't lodged the Staggs contract as it's still not updated there.

Adam Reynolds has officially signed a three-year deal with Brisbane worth $2.25 million.

Rabbitoh's Blake Solly said:

“It is sad to see Adam go at the end of the year but his service to the Rabbitohs over the past 10 seasons has been outstanding and we will celebrate that with our members and supporters in style. Unfortunately for us our salary cap position in future years did not enable us to offer Adam anything more than a one-year contract at this stage. We have always understood Adam’s position and we’re happy for him that he has been able to secure a contract with another club that meets his and his family’s needs.”

Kevin Walters said:

“Adam is a fantastic signing for our club – his leadership and game management are outstanding and he will really help bring out the best in our squad. He is skilful, he loves to compete and he wants to win, and importantly he is a family man and highly regarded off the field, those are all things that we want in a Brisbane Broncos player."

“I keep saying that we have a terrific core group of committed players and the future is bright, and Adam deciding to buy into that future is a real endorsement of where our club is headed.”

Reynolds' manager Steve Gillis said:

“Adam is 100 per cent focused on winning a premiership with Souths for this year, and being captain for it. And the other thing is he is only 100-odd points behind Eric Simms’ all-time point scoring record. He wants to break that record, too, before he leaves. They are two goals he wants to achieve before he leaves Souths.

“While disappointed his career at Souths will conclude at the end of the year, Adam will always hold the club dear to his heart and consider himself a Rabbitoh for life. This process hasn’t affected him in any way. His form has been good and he’s comfortable at how everything has unfolded.”

“It looks like his deal with Brisbane will be completed in the next few days. We notified Cronulla late (Wednesday) of his decision to pursue Brisbane.”

Reported around 700k a year on average, most likely front-ended. Reports suggest he came for LESS than the Sharks' offer.
This is the best part. Obviously Donaghy/Walters had a strong pitch and there’s something to want to come to.

Sharks are trying to save face by disagreeing with those reports ... but instead of saving face it make them look incompetent by low-balling Reynolds

Yeah but we have experience watching a club who has screwed try and save face, so if anyone knows how to look through rubbish excuses, its us.

As it stands. Contracted next year in blue. Player option in green.

Not too much to sweat over here.

Love it, perfectly handled by the club.

Kevvie says some stupid things sometimes but I got to give him credit, they poke and prod and push and shove but he never tells them about future signings or if our blokes are leaving.. until it's a signed deal either way.

The contract length, the price paid, the quality of player and the position they fill - all perfect.

Bloody hell, it's been a VERY long time since we've been able to say that about a deal the Broncos did.

It's amazing what can be achieved when you don't have a complete imbecile running the club.

Had Reynolds been here this year I have no doubt whatsoever that we would have beaten Parra (rd1), Penriff & Cowgirls.
This is an unreal signing, and doesn’t look like we have paid overs at all.
Compare this with the Sharks getting Townsend on similar money.

A very good signing, will certainly be interesting now to see who we look to partner him with. I'm not sure SJ is the answer or that Staggs is a lock in.

SJ is injured again, not sure what the injury is but he's barely been on the field this season. Has to be a concern.

Cronulla insisting they offered less is just bizarre. They either look stupid for lowballing a supposedly priority signing if that's true, and if it's not then it doesn't look great for them either that he took less money to go to the Broncos.

You have to presume Cronulla now definitely re-sign SJ, so that just leaves Milford and Ash Taylor both looking for a date to the Prom now.
