Commiserations guys, Lions played well in patches but just struggled to work the ball out and just couldn't get enough numbers around the ball. Collingwood were sloppy but just seemed to out-enthuse the Lions.

Advantage played was an awful call and denied the game the grandstand finish it deserved.

Man, it was a fantastic game but so hard to take knowing how close it was at the end and that they got about 3 goals on iffy umpiring and we were potentially cost two ourselves.

Let's hope so because as good as Washcroft looked and his brother too, our key position players probably only have another 2-3 seasons to give it a crack and Neale will be starting to slow down from here on out as he is the wrong side of 30.

Rayner thought he was superman today. Didn’t play the percentages. I’m done with hipwood. We needed him to step up today and he didn’t. Wish we could have kept McStay instead.

Watched it with a die hard Lions fan. Was funny seeing how nervous he was, that'll be me tomorrow. As someone who doesn't reallt follow the game, I felt like Brisbane were just holding on and Collingwood could have put it away a lot earlier with more luck.

Collingwood missed quite a few golden chances that would have blown out the score and ended it early.

Lions were very lucky to still be in it in the 4th Quarter and especially with a minute left.

Yeah Collingwood were the better team for a large part of the day but we certainly had our fair share of chances. The better team did win though and I don't think many people will argue with that once the emotion subsides. The fact the Lions should have had a chance to seal it at the end is a credit to their ability to hang in.
