All Stars Game 2010

But they have to have some way to guaruntee each club is represented in the final team as that is what they have said all along, so it will need to be some combination of club/position. I'm just interested to know how the final team is really going to be decided.

I'd imagine it would be the highest voted player overall will lock up his position, and also disqualify any of his teammates from selection.
For example, if Jarryd Hayne receives the most votes overall, he gets fullback, excluding Slater etc, but also excluding Hindmarsh, even if Hindy gets the most votes out of all second rowers.

Yeh I guess that is fair enuogh and you keep working your way down the list. So in that scenario it would rule Hindy out so they would look at the next most voted second rower and THAT player's would also not have a player in the team already. Sounds AWFULLY complicated way of doing things though!

So by that we could have a nothing player in the front row simply because people voted for their teams Backs first

I imagine it will happen like that. Unless you are a Souths fan and don't really have any good backs.

Which is really the inherent problem with calling it an All Stars Team whilst also garunteeing every club has a rep - you are potentially going to get some nuffies who really don't deserve to be there at all.

But oh well I still think it's a great concept and can't wait for the game.
