Been discussed before, but problem is almost all Kiwi league players come from the northern part of the north island, predominantly Auckland.

At best you could make it Kiwis vs Islands (combined team of Cook Islands, Fiji, Tonga). Even then there's no traditional hatred* like there's always been between NSW and QLD, which is the only thing that keeps Origin relevant.

Meh I believe a bit in fate when it comes to injuries, if a player is going to get a major injury he's going to get a major injury - if it happens in an exhibition, a trial match or the first match of the season proper - the result is pretty much the same.

Yeah but this game is just another opportunity for a player to get an injury.

Hmmm, not really. Closest I can think of is the Dog and Parrot, which is about 2.5km away on foot:

Apart from that, there's the Groove Train restaurant at Robina Town Centre. It is licensed...and if you want to pay $8 for a bottle of beer go for it.... LOL

I mean if Hodges and Inglis was on the other team, they are always good to watch when they are on fire... but I still would have went for the all stars.

I guess if have ind. blood the game would be more than just a game - for the rest of us though... most likely kicking back with some beers and watching some entertaining (hopefully) footy.

Can't wait for Origin though.
