It was in the article Kent wrote this afternoon I'm pretty sure. Either Marshall made it up, Ikin made it up or Kent made it up or wayne is just flat out lying. What would one of those first three have to gain by making that up. It's clear Wayne is lying. Just don't know what he is trying to gain. Like Kent said Wayne would not have said anything a few years ago but he clearly has the shits with the media because of what is going on with whoever his girlfriend is.

What does get have to gain? Are you fucking kidding? He has everything to gain.

Most people already know the media are full of shit, but the skirt around it by 'sources' and 'things changing'. If Kent is caught flat out lying is credibly is completely shot.

Read my post again, mate. Slowly. Kent said it in such a way that anyone who is actually listening would reasonably assume it came from Benji. Remember, this was before the whole golfing with Ikin story came out.

The Kent made it sound like Benji had told him directly and recently.

Bennett would have asked Benji did you speak to Kent, he truthfully answered no, so Bennett wasn't lieing when he called The Kent out.

Benji probably did say something along those lines to Ikin, but I'm sure the Kent has twisted it and taken it out of context. Ikin's really also been a dick here - I'm sure whatever Benji said he thought it was off the record to a bloke associated with the Broncos.

So, Ikin tells Kent that when Ikin and Marshall played golf back in Oct/Nov last year that Milf ( who was on holidays ) was a lazy trainer. Perhaps it was a more recent golf day, no matter.

So, WB wasn't there and didn't hear it, so he asks Marshall if he's spoken to Kent to which Benji truthfully says ,no. WB, unaware that Ikin has blabbed to Kent concludes, reasonably that Kent like most bottom feeding journos simply made something up. No lies there. No evidence that he knew Ikin had told Kent. Don't accuse WB of lying.

God I hate to side with Kent.. I'm at least in agreement with the segment of his argument relating to Wayne being different.

Bennett needs to grow up, this isn't the first time in the last 24 months that he's nibbled on something a journo has said in the media, he used to laugh it off and play dumb, which made him virtually invulnerable to media criticism. But now for whatever reason he's actually taking the bait and arguably bringing more of a shit storm on to our players and the club. He needs to just go back to his "Next question please" ways when the media reference some bullshit rumour.

In regards to this rumour in particular, I don't doubt that there was a conversation held between Ikin & Marshall at golf, but as Kent said in his article, he kind of took it out of context for the purpose of making it sound worse than it was, Marshall said he was horrified at how he was training when he first got there but that has since taken him under his wing to help him do extras. It was never intended to be a malicious comment by the sounds of it, just Benji trying to stay relevant by telling Ikin that he's "Mentoring" Milford in the weight room, or what have you.

Yep. Kent won't be getting many more scoops if he is going to hang his "source'' in the shit like he did today. Don't see him flustered often but he had a hard time getting out what he was trying to say tonight. He knew he fucked up dropping Benji in it. Irrelevant of whether it was true or not. I just like this picture Kent has drawn of Bennett as this master manipulator when really he's never been anything of the sort. If you look through history, Bennett's relationship with the media has never been great, he's written at lengths about it and there's never been any ruse.

What Kent did was very deliberate, in poor form and the guy has a history of trying to turn players against one another. He's a grub and he had no right to say what he did on that show.

That was disgraceful. They just have Kent a platform to mouth off about Bennett unchecked, unquestioned. You have 5 other apparent grown ups there and not one presenting an alternative view. That just doesn't happen. If you sit 6 people down and tell them the sky is blue you would have at least one try to argue its more a slight green.

The only question I have left for Matty is how good does Kenty's dick taste, because judging by that performance it must taste pretty fucking good.
