Have you not seen the mountain of runs he has been scoring in shield?
At which point does he make a contribution in a big game?
Have you not seen the mountain of runs he has been scoring in shield?
Whilst he does have a mountain of runs I personally agree that he is well and truly overrated and he is possibly one of the most underwhelming players to play for our country in that past decade. I have Patterson well and truly above him.Have you not seen the mountain of runs he has been scoring in shield?

When was the last big game he played in? His 2-3 tests he played would have been at least 5-6 years ago. You can't discard a player that scores so many runs in shield because he failed in about 5 knocks.
Leach in Asia : 46 wickets in 9 matches @ 27.3246 of his 62 wickets come in Asia.
Now tell us his stats in Aus and NZ.Leach in Asia : 46 wickets in 9 matches @ 27.32
Lyon in Asia: 95 wickets in 19 matches @ 31.24
So what you're saying is that he's better than Lyon?
I wouldn't consider an Aus A game Vs the Lions a big game. It's so big, cricinfo aren't even covering it.The one today against international opposition would've been a nice start
Usman piles on some runs he can pressure Harris. Still have no idea why he doesn't just open the batting to really pressure him. Its the one thing he is lagging behind with, not opening to put his best case forward
1 test in Aus, 2 tests in NZ.Now tell us his stats in Aus and NZ.
I'll take Lyon's stats in India ahead of Leach. Pretty strange comparison, Lyon clearly a far superior player.1 test in Aus, 2 tests in NZ.
I think the India numbers are at least a decent sample size...
Because he's played more tests?I'll take Lyon's stats in India ahead of Leach. Pretty strange comparison, Lyon clearly a far superior player.
