Joe Root took 2/27 on the same pitch. Malan got it to spin and bounce too and took wickets.
Please tell me what credit you expect me to give Lyon? He's bowled 192 deliveries so far this innings for 1 wicket.

Any credit will do, I haven't ever seen you give him any credit, to completely disregard his efforts and consistency, 400 wickets and all that, it's mind boggling. Even if he doesn't take a mountain of wickets the pressure he puts the batsman under to allow our quicks to rotate all day long and be fresh as a daisy, you can't just look at his wickets and runs and come to the conclusion that he's not doing his job.
Root got 2/27 in the 2nd innings when they were going to tonk, considerably easier to get a wicket or two under those circumstances compared to when they're playing back with a dead bat looking to survive.
You said earlier in this thread it's a pointless discussion and you were right, it's a pointless because you have this opinion and no perspective other than your own is going to change it, even then if he did manage to take 5 in an innings you'd probably just tell us it was shit batting or whatever, like you did in the last game.

I think they just stand out being english, Mel Jones is an Aussie? I'm sure Alex Blackwell and Lisa Stathlekar(?) are Aussies. Guha and Mitchell are high profile so they would stand out.
I don't know the female caller the ABC have but I'm sure she lives in Tasmania.

Did you know 66% (6/9) of his wickets this series have been either Robinson or Pope?
That figure goes up to 80% when it's just wickets this test. I'll give him credit for finding a couple of bunnies in the lower order.
