Sayers & Mennie will go down as 2 of the unluckiest bowlers of the last few decades.

Sayers - 320 wickets, 26.5 avg, 2.6 economy, 59 strike rate
Mennie - 297 wickets, 26.1 avg, 2.8 economy, 55 strike rate

Very unlucky not to get more opportunities than a single test match each.

In fact, all of those guys you listed have phenomenal FC records, fast bowling depth certainly wasn't an issue over the last 5-10 years.

Copeland for me was a genius. He will make a great bowling coach.

I know Boland has a great record at the MCG but I would be shocked if he made his test debut and replicated those numbers

It will make for an interesting game if England win the toss bat first and put up 300-350, if we win the toss and bat first, well we will probably win the game within 4 days

The MCG has been back breaking since 17/18. Boland and Cummins are nearly the only bowlers to get a result.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone picks to bowl first here.

This is true but to be fair, that is his strength, he is relentless on line and length.
