Ashes Discussion

Flogged all day; two runs an over.
2.54* RPO; which included bowling to the lower order. Technically that's closer to 3 runs an over than 2 runs an over. At least be a bit more accurate if you're going to pull out certain things I say.

Stokes gave him the treatment and he was no threat to any of the guys in the top 6. As has been the case the entire series to date (with the exception of Pope who I'm not sure we can classify as a batsman anyway).

and you consider 2.54 ROP as being flogged?

fyi Starc went for 3.6 RPO and Cummins went for 2.4 RPO ... damn, I didn't realise the English batters were flogging our bowlers all over the park

Starc is usually pretty expensive.

Last time I checked we didn't rely on our spearhead quicks to be economical. The only reason Lyon's RPO even gets brought up is because his defenders (when people question his bowling average) constantly bring up how he builds pressure at one end.

Can you honestly say he's looked threatening to any of their top 6 (aside from his bunny Pope) this series? If the answer is yes then you haven't been watching.

Starc and lyons economy rates were high today because of Robinson and Leach's batting

Well i feel indifferent, would prefer for australia to lose a couple wickets for the game to be more competitive

Well done to Harris with legit time wasting and making it through to stumps.

Also, is there a rule that whether you are watching or listening to cricket, no matter the platform, you must listen to Mark Howard? And if so...why?

Mark howards okay. He's not overbearing

England are rubbish.

That was the typical Lyon bowling display. Absolutely no threat to the top order batsmen and flogged around the park. Comes on and picks up a few tail order wickets from guys trying to score quickly and finishes up with 3/36.
Who gives a flying fucken shit… no other spinner in the country can do otherwise cause Swepson sure as shit can’t 90% of the time and your other alternative is Zampa who is about as good as Matt Kuhnemann 12 months ago in red ball cricket. Lyon bowled 14 overs he didn’t have time to work over batsman. 18- overs is when he starts to get success. Chances also are you are still a Starc supporter who did the exact same shit for 90% of his career and was idolised. I’ve got no issue with it, somebody has to but look at who your other options are and re-assess your stance.
