There’s something about him that’s a bit odd. He seems like he could be a deadset fuckwit.I'm not a fan at all but even if I was, why does he need to be on every single commentary team?
Well done to Harris with legit time wasting and making it through to stumps.
Also, is there a rule that whether you are watching or listening to cricket, no matter the platform, you must listen to Mark Howard? And if so...why?
then time to play unders/overs ...
under or over; Harris survives more than 2 overs on day 2
Who gives a flying fucken shit… no other spinner in the country can do otherwise cause Swepson sure as shit can’t 90% of the time and your other alternative is Zampa who is about as good as Matt Kuhnemann 12 months ago in red ball cricket. Lyon bowled 14 overs he didn’t have time to work over batsman. 18- overs is when he starts to get success. Chances also are you are still a Starc supporter who did the exact same shit for 90% of his career and was idolised. I’ve got no issue with it, somebody has to but look at who your other options are and re-assess your stance.
England are rubbish.
That was the typical Lyon bowling display. Absolutely no threat to the top order batsmen and flogged around the park. Comes on and picks up a few tail order wickets from guys trying to score quickly and finishes up with 3/36.
2.54* RPO; which included bowling to the lower order. Technically that's closer to 3 runs an over than 2 runs an over. At least be a bit more accurate if you're going to pull out certain things I say.
Stokes gave him the treatment and he was no threat to any of the guys in the top 6. As has been the case the entire series to date (with the exception of Pope who I'm not sure we can classify as a batsman anyway).
People grew up watching Shane Warne spin it in every direction with multiple different variations, spinning it at right angles, that's what they expect in a spinner but that's not reality.
You need to watch the fucken game champion. Nathan bowled exceptionally well last game and once he got his 400th he bowled well in the 1st game as well. Like I’m not sure what you are expecting from a bloke who just came back from the shittest 12 months in his career. He is doing well and I can guarantee you that nobody in Australia can do better. Your that fucken clueless that your probably going start chucking up names such as tanveer or Zampa for **** sakes. Your likely the exact same bloke who was raving about Kuhnemann for doing the exact same thing earlier in the shield season. Nobody in this damn forum thinks he is amazing but at the same time **** me there isn’t a single spinner better than him in red ball cricket apart from Ravi Ashwin. The matter of the fact is your expecting something that doesn’t exist in the cricketing world at the moment for any country so to have a spinner we can consistently pick and has got us 400+ wickets over the past 103 tests is great. I say you should be pretty fucken happy we have got him cause he has gone a long way to our success for a number of years (up until last but let’s be real nobody had a great series so he definitely is not alone).2.54* RPO; which included bowling to the lower order. I just want to ask you this so you can reconsider your stance, Ajaz Patel got 10 wickets 3 weeks ago or whatever. Based off your logic he only got 6 legitimate wickets. Is that your stance on that as well? I will ask you again did you or did you not idolise and hype Starc for the last 7 years as a result of him practically taking tail Enders (and swinging the ball in his 1st spell)? Because chances are like the rest of Australia YOU DID. What your essentially trying to say is he is not a valued member of this team cause he took 3 wickets against bowlers but when he takes them against batters it doesn’t count cause there also shit. Like **** me if that’s the case only one wicket counts every game against this lot. Based off your logic yet again you would be saying that any batsman that scored runs against Joe Root don’t count cause he is a part timer. 100 runs don’t count to batsman’s name with your logic, what are they sundries? What next bowlers wickets will be sundrie wickets if it doesn’t count.
I get it your frustrated that he isn’t the same player but that doesn’t make him shit or any worse than any one else available in the country cause he isn’t. I love Mitch and he is the only one even relatively close but at the same time he is miles off Lyon and consistently playing test cricket. I don’t even necessarily disagree that much with you on some of things your saying. To be fair I do have an issue with what your saying as well to an extent but I think what everyone has an issue is with your one eyed view on his performances in a very ignorant manner to take away from his current successes and past successes. Like you were complaining about a 2.54 economy rate when Cummins the golden boys was 2.40 and Starc and Boland were in the high 3’s. You talk about taking bowlers wickets as being illegitimate yet Starc’s career was made up of bowlers wickets and not just that he was idolised for it. I’ve got no issue with you having the opinion that Lyon is bad but start using stats that wouldn’t suggest everyone’s careers or performances aren’t as good as they were cause they took bowlers wickets or there economy in 14 overs when one of them you got whacked was at a highly respectable economy rate of 2.54 which did nothing for your argument.
Sorry about my rant, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and enjoy day 2 of the cricket.
Am I dreaming?Labs didn't make a bucketload of runs, Australia is 3 down and Harris is still there, what the heck is this? It certainly isn't cricket.
Why did Cummins have to miss Adelaide and the English players getting tested didn’t miss Melbourne?
