MANLY and the Gold Coast have upped the ante in pursuit of Broncos prodigy Ashley Taylor who has attracted a $200,000 per year offer to leave Brisbane.
However, the 20-year-old Junior Kangaroos half has told The Courier-Mail he wants to remain loyal to Brisbane even though his first grade future is blocked at the club.
It is understood Wayne Bennett rates Taylor highly and will find a way to get him into his first grade team within the next 12 months.
Star halves talent Anthony Milford and Ben Hunt are stopping Taylor’s progression at the Broncos.
Taylor has not asked for a release and it is understood the Broncos are determined to keep a player they have contracted until the end of 2016.
Taylor, Joe Ofahengaue and Jayden Nikorima are the Broncos young guns being hunted by rival clubs.
“We have all come through the grades together and it would be great to all stick together,” Taylor said.
