Mmmmmm some people don't really pick up on social cues like humour. Would have thought the giving the time left and asking if he was practising was a give away but guess you've got to score points and be tough somehow.

If you want to be sarcastic maybe you could actually make your posts seem sarcastic.

The recent addition of Brisbane Broncos Under 20s halfback Ashley Taylor has given the Magpies much-needed direction and control in attack.

In his second Intrust Super Cup appearance, the 20-year-old’s kicking game was a key to victory in blustery conditions.

“He’s made the transition seamlessly … Ash has such a mature head on his shoulders and physically he’s handling the step up really well,” Hannay said.

“Aside from his kicking game he’s got that piece of individual brilliance about him as well.”

If we want him, he needs a place in 1st grade.

Metaphorically speaking ... the smell of a fat wad of fresh crisp bank notes is so seductive isn't it in the world of big business .. I mean NRL.

Either Milford or Hunt will have to move ... or go, if we want Taylor in the halves.

Can anyone see any other alternatives? I see someone suggests Hunt to hooker. Somehow, I can't see that happening

we have him until the end of next year.
He doesn't need to be rushed. eventually our best spine will include:
1. milford
6. hunt
7.taylor


The timeline depends greatly on taylor/milford and boyd's form. As of now there is no rush and imo we have an opportunity to win a premiership this year and that would go out the window if we start making such drastic changes. Besides that if boyd and Milford keep improving at the current rate Taylor may not be an improvement.

Watching the game, he's improved Souths, he's playing well, he's improving- but I haven't changed my mind- to demand NRL selection you need to be better than what is on offer. His performances aren't yet.

To put it in cricket terms, he's getting shield 50's but so are the guys in the Test team.

You don't have to pick him until he is getting Shield 200.

Terrible conditions with wind on Saturday at the Coast and in Mackay. Taylor kicked much better than Cutters or Jets.

I would totally agree if there was no point of difference, but I don't think that is the case.
To stay with the cricket analogy, I would say that this test team is missing a good spinner, which is exactly what he would bring to the table... :wink:
