I don't think Simms deserves to be re-instated. His performances in training (so I’ve heard) or the QCup have done nothing to enhance his claims for a run in the top grade. My mind is that you have to earn a spot, not given it. Too many times in the past we have given players a start based on past deeds or reputation and most of us that have been on the forum for a while have criticised this philosophy most strongly in the past. My advice is either stop sooking and starting playing like you want to be there of find somewhere else to play.

Big part of it, if he's not putting in at training then he will not get a spot in the 17 - and I for one have no issue with that - put in or get out, and this is coming from someone who hand made a Pro-Simsy banner!

I agree that Sims needs to be in. We're obviously in a bit of a trot at the moment and down on troops. He's on the last year of his contract and we need to make him earn it, and plead a case if he wants another one. He was instrumental in our charge towards the finals last season, his defense was amazing. We need to say to him, "Look we need that Ashton Sims back, if he doesn't you need to find somewhere else to play next year."
