Ashton Sims

Word in RLW is that Wakefield (I think it was) would want to trade us Sims for Tronc.

Have you seen the doctor about that, I have heard they have medication these days

Pretty clear to me Henjak has problems with Sims. I heard Sims could be swapped for Tronc this season! It was in RLW

There are two Sims, the agro one that levels guys both in attack and defense and the Brad Meyers circa 2003 log Sims. He would be infuriating to coach because he is so rocks and diamonds.

I'm pretty keen to give him this season to shape up... The guy is a talent and has always been rated amongst the best prop forwards of his age. You have to remember that his peers only begun to push for representative honors last year, whilst most of them are only starting to play consistent footy.

Comparing him with that, he's not that far off the pace IMO. With some long term planning and patience from the club I think he could turn out tops.

Does look like greg inglis (that's not racist is it?)

So Simms is in the squad (from what I hear), IMO this is now or never for him. Does he understand "THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE DON'T F**K IT UP!!!!" I'm a fan, but geeze he can be so hot and cold.

I see young Korbin Sims is classed as a Queenslander..

Could we see Tariq and Korbin going against each other in Origin in the future?

Forwards can take a looong time to mature sometimes.

A perfect example is the player we've been all creaming over for a few days now. Shane Tronc. He had been average and inconsistent for YEARS but over the past 2 years he's been sensational and close to an origin jumper.

Sims has shown a lot of promise and I think he'll eventually get there. I mean, take a look at him. He's huge, he has decent speed for his size and he can seriously hurt in defence.

I'm a big fan of Simsy, I really hope he can make it.

+1

Yep forwards take longer to develop and mature and reach the top of their game than backs do. Webcke, Civo, Price, Lazo etc - none of them reached their peak until mid to late 20s

Like most of us, I really hope that Simms can make it. Funny how the fans didn't treat Myers or Carlaw the same way...

What do you mean

Carlaw dished up softness for 3 years straight?
It season after season.

Myers would guarantee you one knock-on a game, MINIMUM.

Harsh but fair - If anything we gave them a season too long. Broncos are a competitive club - it is no surprise that we were looking for a fresh approach after these guys... we were getting owned by small men up the ruck.

Unfortunately for Dane he finally came good during his last season with the Broncos. Too little too late for him.
