Aussies Vs. Kiwis - Match Thread

I thought the game was entertaining for what it was. A flat backline and forwards running the wrong holes meant the Kiwis were pretty ineffective on attack. However when they did get their shit together they proved to be quite potent outwide, espececially considering the two centres Australia had picked are known slack tacklers. Pretty average 5th tackle options from Benji too, though Foran went well kicking from the field. I thought Sammy Rapira had a blinder, and Frank-Paul went well too. Harrison showed glimpses at times. Isaac Luke has to be one of the better hookers going around, the guy can spot an oppertunity out of dummyhalf like no other. Hohaia had a 'mare. Warea-Heargraves needs to focus on his own game, and Matai is a fucking dog, he wont be there come October imo.

Note to Benji Marshall and Isaac Luke:

Nobody thinks you are scary or intimidating whilst doing the haka.

Its just a bit of fun, do you really think anyone gets scared of the haka anymore?

Hahahaha, typical AP. Of course the FACTS about the game are incorrect because they don't suit his argument.

like i said, their definition of a missed/ineffective tackle might be vastly different to mine. but i know with 100% certainty that there was at LEAST 1 occasion where i saw lockyer do what i consider a missed tackle. if the guy with the ball hits you, and you dont make the tackle, thats a missed tackle IMO. must not be to their stat counter though.

I'll take the word of their stat counter over yours. Afterall, he wouldn't have just done this game as a one off, he would've marked down missed tackles against Lockyer before so he (or maybe she) knows what they're looking for. I still don't think you do AP.

Something i noticed with locky is that everytime he is first player in he only holds long enough for someone else to come in and finish the tackle, he then slides off back into the line and directs the traffic for the next tackle.


By sliding off by his own accord as he does is that a missed tackle or a smart tactic?
