CRICKET Australia v India Summer

It wasn't changed until 2004 and the old law wasn't workable or even detectable to the naked eye.

An expert panel comprising Aravinda de Silva, Angus Fraser, Michael Holding, Tony Lewis, Tim May and David Richardson found that most modern bowlers broke the rules in some way but the laws to determine whether their action was legal or otherwise were murky and unworkable.

The old laws effectively allowed spinners to legally straighten their arms by five degrees. The measurement was set at 7.5 degrees for medium pacers and 10 for fast bowlers.

However, the panel found those measurements were all undetectable to the naked eye so they recommended the levels be standardised at 15 degrees, the first point at which it is visible to the naked eye.
Yep, I'm aware if that, only Hair had the nuts to call him and was hung out to dry for it.

IMO he's was a chucker and so is Bumrah.

Doesn't this just prove that Bumrah chucks? You can see his arm bend, therefore it must be greater than 15°.

The rule is when it is above the vertical that the elbow must not bend past 15 degrees, the forward flexion in his arm and hyperextension is allowed.

Kohli should cop a ban. He should be nowhere near the batsman in that instance. No excuses for him.

Konstas was exciting and has some
Serious nuts but it’s such ugly cricket for a test match opener.

Embarrassing that it took a 19 year old to take on Bumrah. Meanwhile Khawaja, Marnus and preferred to fluff it around.

Marsh needs to go. Just complete rubbish yet again.

Carey has been superb this series.

Looks like an interesting test match developing. Expecting Lyon to do some damage

In Sri Lanka I’d bat McSweeney at 6 give him his opportunity there. See if he has anything down there worth investing more time in or let him grow some more in domestic for a season or so more. Marsh just isn’t it. His pace isn’t valuable in Sri Lanka. Not good enough to run a quick short and not good enough o bat anymore.

Marsh isn't being dropped, the media will go crazy that the current AB medalist has been dropped.

I don't think they will. Marsh survives because he's a 'good bloke' and close mates with Cummins, Bailey and McDonald. He has no right being in this side, he isn't good enough.

Emerson called him too.
Yes you're right. Emmerson really dug in and stuck to his guns.
Even now he still thinks Murali was a chucker a lot of the time.
So did most umpires but they were to chicken shit to call him.

Kohli is a bully coward. Doing that to a kid on debut. It might float in rl but in cricket.....I would have loved to see him given a smack in the mouth.

I know it is a moot point because Marsh isn't going anywhere but would you throw Hardie into the fire in the fifth or Webster if they actually did what they should do and drop Marsh?

How's Kohli?

A father of 2 kids, captained his side, a deadset draw for every young player going around. Walks up to 19 year old Sam Konstas with no other intention but to drop a shoulder, fair dinkum. If that's not a flog, I don't know what is.

They've just got to pick a bat.

His bowling or lack thereof won't hurt us, it's killing us with the bat though. He's offered absolutely nothing. Not a single thing. I don't count his ability to catch a cricket ball as a contribution, that's just a basic fundamental expectation.

I want to see Travis loaded up with a dozen beers and proceed to belt the living shit out of Kohli and Siraj.

Kohli is protected by bcci and everybody knows it. If he was reprimanded too much they would cry and India would threaten to boycott and go home which they have a history of doing. Bcci runs cricket, he will receive a slap on the wrist and konstas will somehow be painted as the villain.
