Could you drop Smith to 5 and Head to 6 to allow Green back in at 4 where he has looked much more comfortable?

I was thinking Smudge to 6, because Head is making that number 5 his own.

Smudge is looking far better against spin and still missing a couple straight ones from the pace bowlers... had some close LBW shouts yesterday on straight balls that he doesn't usually miss.

A Smudge against tiring attacks with an older ball would be dangerous.

But he is a world class player when in form so do you drop him that low to get time at 4 for Green... it's a pretty big call to make

Yeah it is a big decision to make but you take Marsh out of the side, suddenly you have some competition for spots and that hasn't happened in a while.
