CRICKET Australia v India Summer

Seriously decided to double down without fact checking? Not the case. Hyper extension is not included in the 15 degree threshold.
International Cricket Council (ICC) defines an illegal bowling action as when a bowler's elbow extends more than 15 degrees from the point their arm reaches horizontal until the ball is released. This is known as elbow hyperextension.

Bent beyond 15 degrees and it then straightens. I'm pretty sure that's text book chucking

It's a hyperextension of his elbow, becoming a broken record having to keep saying this.

You expect the ICC to police who can and cannot hyperextend their elbow? It's not something you can just learn how to do.

FMD I know its a hyperextension. Doesn't matter. If it's beyond the 15 degrees it's not a legal bowling action.
I don't think its deliberate it is what it is.
Chucking. IMO
I posted the ICC def , that's how I read it.

I don't understand why hyperextension is allowed. You tense your arm muscles and keep your arm straight, like every other bowler on the planet has to do.

Why do we have such an impatient need to open the door to teams. Bat sensibly until we are safe then hook in.

I can see us all out with a lead of 250

You don’t understand what hyper extension is clearly. That is not hyperextension.

My God this is ugly. Are we playing on the same pitch? Have we forgotten how to bat? Is India just bowling actual grenades?

****.

Marsh out for a duck... he needs to be fucked off asap.

Aussies going to lose this after scoring 450+

The pitch is playing its part, it has swung and seamed today. 300 will be tough to chase if Australia can get there of course.

ILLEGAL BOWLING ACTIONS 2.1 An Illegal Bowling Action is a bowling action where the Player’s Elbow Extension exceeds 15 degrees, measured using the Standard Analysis Protocols from the point at which the bowling arm reaches the horizontal until the point at which the ball is released. Any Elbow Hyperextension shall be discounted for the purposes of determining an Illegal Bowling Action.

I don't understand why hyperextension is allowed. You tense your arm muscles and keep your arm straight, like every other bowler on the planet has to do.

Because if you made it 0 the sport would die.

Scientific research revealed that almost all bowling actions contained some degree of straightening at the elbow (referred to in these Illegal Bowling Regulations as “Elbow Extension”). In theory, therefore, the vast majority of bowlers, with actions considered by umpires to be legal under the Laws of Cricket, were contravening Law 24(3) each time they delivered the ball. It was also demonstrated in studies by human movement specialists that such Elbow Extension in a bowling action became noticeable to the naked eye – and started to look like a throw – when it exceeded 15 degrees.

Can we move on the bowling action? Don’t need to read scientific dissertations about elbows

Bumrah has threatened to turn a test for India this series and he’s finally doing it.

Our Marsh, in Connolly is my suggestion for Sydney.
It has to be McSweeney. The best middle order batsman by a mile. Give him his opportunity where he deserves it. He has earned the right in my opinion to have more of a go than the shit he was given.

Connolly is yet to score a fc ton. He has played 4 fc matches.

Webster even long before Connolly. My only shortfall is I don’t think he will be wanted or needed once Green is back and I don’t think he will find his feet before then.

Nathan down at 6 will be a good opportunity for him. Allows Head to aggress and then rebuild an innings afterwards with Nathan, Carey, Cummins and Starc to follow.
