CRICKET Australia v India Summer

If he can learn to close it, the sky is the limit for him though, so talented. He keeps getting out in that fashion though, so he needs to work on it.
Balls coming back into him .
Off cutters and arm balls from left handers .

Kind of hard as a spinner in 3 day test matches.
Day 5 tomorrow. Lets see him shine.

I'll bet he does nothing until Starc or Cummins create momentum to win the game and he steals a wicket or two from Indians slogging.

That's if we win. If we dont win you can bet he's 0/100

530 test wickets don’t get him a bone thrown?

I reckon Australia is in a strong position. India either have to play for a draw or take huge risks to win. Either way, Australia’s all round attack is better than India’s minus Bumrah and took a lot of wickets. There are ten wickets there if Australia’s bowlers aren’t also cooked.

Bumrah has bowled 140 overs this series so far... Cummins and Starc have bowled 118 and 115 respectively.

By the time the second innings for India wraps up they'll both have bowled pretty similar amounts to Bumrah you'd think.

Starc is looking like he'll get a rest, but Cummins will have to go around again.

Will be interesting to see if they bring in someone like Richardson with his injury history and a possible must win match.

I think Marsh absolutely has to go for someone that can actually contribute with the ball

Bumrah has bowled a mountain of overs as the only bowler they have (usually) and despite looking like a broken man, could have bowled us out by himself.

We got lucky today

It has to be McSweeney. The best middle order batsman by a mile. Give him his opportunity where he deserves it. He has earned the right in my opinion to have more of a go than the shit he was given.

Connolly is yet to score a fc ton. He has played 4 fc matches.

Webster even long before Connolly. My only shortfall is I don’t think he will be wanted or needed once Green is back and I don’t think he will find his feet before then.

Nathan down at 6 will be a good opportunity for him. Allows Head to aggress and then rebuild an innings afterwards with Nathan, Carey, Cummins and Starc to follow.

Sproj needs his flavour of the month though

I'm quite open about my list fettish.

I do really like Connolly and I'm aware he hasn't made an FC ton but at the same time, neither has Jacob Bethell from NZ and he currently averages 52 after three tests in NZ with 3 fifties batting at three and coming in with an FC average in the 20s. Connolly averages in the 60s and yes, I also know it is a small sample size.

My rationale is that it is in Sydney, traditionally a spin friendly pitch, so his part time tweakers might be handy. McSweeney has also already been given a test, what not give another extremely talented young guy a shot? Washington Sundar was about the same age when he debuted in Australia on the last two and played a significant contribution to that series' win and again this test to possibly helping India save it.

Honestly, my number one priority is get rid of Marsh and I don't care if it is McSweeney, Connolly, Hardie or Webster who replaces him. If they go with McSweeney, I won't be upset by any means and as we've discussed previously, he is a far better bowler than he gets credit for.

I'm also excited for Richardson likely coming in, he'll be a handful for India with his late swing and seam movement. Plus he is a more than handy lower order bat. Aside from being a right-armer, he is probably the closest thing Australia has in the squad to Starc.

On a different test note:

Mohammed Abbas, playing his first test in years has just ripped through SA's middle order. Pakistan need 2 wickets, SA needs 33 runs.

Legacy day today, lose or draw and India win three series in a row in Australia.

Six of the last 10 Tests in Sydney have been draws.

How much has the 329 Gabba chase burnt and hurt Australia- Do they bat too long trying to avoid that run down again?

Not really, he's played 130+ tests and has one of the worst bowling averages of any bowler to take 300+ test wickets..

I absolutely expect he shows up on day 5 when a huge series is on the line and our pace attack is crying out for support. Lets see if he does.

You don’t understand what hyper extension is clearly. That is not hyperextension.
Hyperextension is when the elbow is bent backwards beyond the normal range of motion.
When measuring it in relation to a bowling action the hyperextension creates a negative angle, so if Bumrah had an elbow extension or flex of 10 degrees and a hyperextension of 10 degrees it's not a 20 degree flex (which would take it beyond 15) it's 10 because the hyperextension is discounted.

In that pic I posted, that is not his elbow bending backwards In hyperextension at 35 degrees. His elbow is facing forwards, his biceps is facing up and his arm straightens in the same direction as the ball is released which IMO is a chuck.
Not to start this up again, because my mind is made up, but that's how I read the rule, that's how I understand what a hyperextension is, you know, when I didn't fact check before I doubled down.

Can't wait for this 5th day to start.
Perfect bowling conditions, temp wise. A bit more humidity would be nice to help with the swing but I think hitting the pitch is what we have to do and Gary hopefully comes into his own.
India probably try and turn this into a 1 dayer type run chase by trying not to lose wickets and have a dash late if they are close enough.

What else? The Earth is flat? The moon landing isn’t real? Climate Change is a lie? Swing and Seam are in fact the same?

Think the Aussies need to be attacking the stumps with the new ball.

5th stump line can come later, but with the new ball need to have them playing
