No ethos is right, there were a few. 2 wickets were from what seemed like shocking balls....that said, batsmen are still putting the bat out there.

No worse than Bruce Reid. He used to just direct the ball across the right handed batsmen and waited for them to nick it. He rarely swung the ball into them (though he was capable).

3 of the 5 wickets were brilliant balls - great short ball to Duminy, briliant slower ball to Morkel, and excellent bowling to the field against Harris.

It doesn't matter how you get the wickets mate they still go in the score book under his name!!!

Exactly - at times it's better to be lucky than good I say icon_thumbs_u

No matter what, it was still an erection-inspiring performance!

Come on!

Matty Hayden must have chucked the umpire a fiver. Plumb as they come. No doubts about that.

Hayden was out a couple of overs earlier... I reckon this was a square up for the non lbw decision

I'd rather wait for Watsons balls to drop first.

At least the saffers are scared of Roy and put the field back. Watson wouldnt have done much better anyway but maybe he would have been bowled.

IMO we need to get Watson in the team at some point just for his bowling.. I'd like to see Hussey Open with Katich and put Watson in the middle order.. Hayden's days are numbered I just hope he gets a ton at the MCG and then announces his retirement at the end of the summer. Symonds just seems to be a bit to arrogant IMO both dismissals this test match have shown no respect to the bowler which seems to be his downfall alot.

Saffas need 413 for victory.. Aussies need early wickets and I think Kreza should take a few the wickets looks to be turning quite a bit.. It is a gettable target but would be a huge effort.

The way we are bowling they will ahve it by lunch

Indeed - they don't look to be having any trouble at all at the moment. Quite happy with my bet at $6.50 for them to win that I put on earlier. Still, the first innings showed that anything can happen.

A few wickets is what we need but none of the bowlers look like taking a wicket at the moment.. Lee is starting to lose pace and will need wickets soon to stay in the team. Siddle IMO is garbage but he has enough potential to stay on the scene..

I'm surprised that Ponting hasn't thrown the ball to Symonds or Clarke yet.

Who needs them when you have Mitchell Johnson in the side [icon_razz1

Johnson has 10 what a champ!! He has carried the Aussie bowling attack this test.
