So will Australia go with 5 bowlers (4 seamers + Krejza) at the Gabba? Or will they let Symmo have a crack on his home ground? Interesting.

Personally I wouldn't risk Symonds, but given the flimsy nature of Australia's batting you'd be tempted to have Symonds at 6, Watson 7 and Haddin 8, ensuring a bit of a longer tail. That said, it's only New Zealand...

Agreed re: NZ Coxy. We can probably afford to experiment a bit and get it right for Seth Effrika. Kiwis are likely to play Lee into a bit of form too.

Just on the Hit n Giggle - Clarke is out with Delhi belly, and will be replaced by Xavier Doherty. He should be right for the 1st Test though, according to Cricinfo. Huss will skipper the Aussies.

They'll most likely leave out Siddle and Symonds IMO.

Or if they want to go with 4 seamers.. leave out Krezja and Watson, so that Symonds can bowl spin if need be.

I wonder if the selectors have the balls to drop Kreza?? If the selectors leave out Watson they are a crock.. After years of trying to get Watson fit enough to play tests he finally is ready and playing quite well so if they don;t select him they are Wanks IMO.

They have shown more faith in him then just about any another player, so i can't see why they'd stop now.

.......and always crap (just like the league coverage). I am over channel nine and their little boys clubs. And I just watched WWOS - it made me sick.

Also, does anyone know if Andrew Symonds is on a contract with channel nine???

Apparently Symonds is back in the XI.

He hasn't done anything to deserve a spot, his performances for Queensland have been terrible.

IMO it'd almost be better for Australia to get bowled out today so our seamers can get a shot on the damp conditions. If the Aussies rally and bat out til some time tomorrow it'll probably be flatter and easier for the Kiwis to put on a score.

I reckon day 3 will be ideal batting conditions.
