Ever since India (Laxman and Dravid) Australia have been petrified of following on. What is the point here? How do they go about it? Block and block to just waste time or smash it and get further ahead for some reason?

Australia are banking on the pitch doing more as it gets older.......Aussies don't want to bat last on this wicket.

Pakistan have all been slogging in the field for more than two days.......why not wear them out a bit more in the field, rest the bowlers and then go hard at them again.

Only just realised it's the backend of day 3... for some reason I thought the game had progressed well further than that.

It may not be the worst decision to bat again through to lunch tomorrow and then just set in to bowl on what should be a heavily deteriorating pitch with two spinners operating.

Usually I agree with not enforcing but I think they should’ve here. Still, just about the perfect day and we are gonna win regardless.

I'm just worried they will run out of time again like in the Ashes.

Yeah time is the only issue with not enforcing the follow on here.

All it takes it one partnership to get set and the ball not to reverse swing and we're on the back foot relying on a mistake. Pakistan will be playing for a draw so our hope is the pitch continues to deteriorate and becomes unplayable day 5.

I think we're going to need 5 sessions to bowl them out, 4 + an extra one just in case of rain or a big partnership. Treat this first session today like a t20 and try push the target over 550 so Pakistan are mentally defeated before they even put the pads on.

Do also wonder if the Green injury influenced our decision too. Hopefully he's okay because he's a very important option with the ball.

We should be batting for no more than 30-60mins. If there is an early wicket, I'm sending Head or Starc in to have a slap.

With Carey not exactly having his spot cemented, I'd be going the 2 I mentioned, no great advantage for Carey to be going in for possibly a no win situation. I'd proibably go Starc straight away, he is fantastic at smashing spinners and is high on confidence.
