These commentators are foaming at the mouth for an Australian declaration.. imo we should keep doing exactly as we’re doing - grind out as many runs as possible even if they bat into tomorrow. Soak up every run and every minute on this pitch while it’s at its best. If / when it starts to deteriorate this game could start moving very quickly. But until then, why let Pakistan’s batsmen loose on it ?

Yeah agreed... the pitch looks like it is still doing nothing so I'm not keen to see our bowlers out there slogging away.

Bat for as many runs as possible and see if this pitch will break up and then look for an innings victory.

Only 6 overs left in the day and 2 of those are lost for a change of innings... so would only be 4 overs at them.

Yep, don’t even think about it Pat.
It might not be pleasing the crowd and the blokes in the comm box but Australia is just playing to the conditions here.. On wickets like these there’s no other option but to bat big and then hope it starts to fall apart and offer something later in the game.

Yeah sad but it does show the benefit in batting long. This pitch has misbehaved a couple of times today, they should hopefully increase tomorrow.
