Bennett told the Jets at the session last Saturday they'd have Vidot; Ben and Shane told him they'd play him at prop and he laughed.
This is crazy when you consider that he put Whitchurch, Reed and Gavet in the team who seems to drop the ball at least 2 times every time they play a game. I think you guys can scrap Vidot off your team lists already.
I don't recall Gavet being so clumsy with his hands. Maybe his aggression caused him to give away penalties but without the stats on hand I thought he was pretty safe. If you're going to use that argument you'd have to throw Copley in that mix too. And Hodges if we're being honest. There goes most if our options at centre. It's no surprise Bennett is starting the season somewhat experimentally.
Lol at people saying that one of our best players of 2014, probably second behind hunt, needed a "rocket up him". Vidot was excellent last year, lost 5kg to try and get some speed back, and gets dropped for making a mistake when at least 3 other players kept their spots when they consistently make more and worse mistakes. It doesn't add up.

Some of our best wingers of all time made their name by doing a forwards job. That work is invaluable to a teams fo forward and field position, especially off kick returns. It gives the forwards a break too.
He made more metres than most 1st choice props did last year iirc.
Vidot's attitude prior to being dropped was great, but he was sent to ISC nonetheless after a mistake in England, leaving Whitchurch and a few other in the team...
It may be psychological tactics, but if I was Vidot, I would be filthy to be dropped like that after doing all the work Wayne asked me to do, while others get a free ride. I hope it works...

That may very well be the case, and I don't know what conversation Wayne had with Daniel, but I can't imagine he told him that, as that would pretty much defeat the purpose.Think of it this way - Vidot is one that Bennett has earmarked to have a future at the club, but needed a bit of a rocket. While that happens, he's thrown in to the NRL side a few people that are on their last chances, to confirm finally whether they would sink or swim when the pressure is turned up.
Those wingers were also excellent in attack which Vidot is notSome of our best wingers of all time made their name by doing a forwards job. That work is invaluable to a teams fo forward and field position, especially off kick returns. It gives the forwards a break too.

2 dropped balls from Gavet on Thursday night champ. I just get the feeling Vidot will have rubbed Bennett up the wrong way and will be struggling to make it in the top side because of it.
