Bennett is NOT a Supercoach

and i do consider the 2006 premiership tainted - but not for the reason youre suggesting. i have NEVER said it was tainted because we were over the cap - which we were btw. its tainted IMO by the blatantly incorrect and poor refereeing in the grand final, where it was like watching a Broncos vs Sydney City game from the early 00's, only the Broncos where Melbourne in this instance. numerous game changing decisions that were blatantly incorrect went in favour of the Broncos.

ive said it before and ill say it til i die - id rather lose than win dirty. the 2006 grand final win is, in terms of football matches, right up there with the dirtiest of wins ive seen in the last decade.

That is true, I remember better now. I still recall you going off about the salary cap breach though. Ironic.

I still can't believe you think a dirty win by a legal team isn't as good as a clean win by a team a million dollars over the salary cap.

And it doesn't matter that the Storm is now legal and they've still got Slater, Cronk and Smith. They're surrounded by nuffies now, they wouldn't have made the GF four years in a row if they didn't have Inglis, Finch, Manu, Johnson, Blair and White. The advantage the salary cap sorts gave the Storm wasn't keeping Slater, Cronk and Smith together, it was giving them a higher level of players alongside them that they wouldn't have had in a legal team.

2011 proved Bellamy is a good coach, but anything accomplished in the previous four years is worth as much as Ben Johnson's world record sprint.

Agree with most and also Jeb do you think that the Broncos strength in expirience was a factor in that game?. Not many of the Storm players at the time had been in a massive game like a Grand Final before.

Absolutely. There were many reasons we won that Grand Final. Poor refereeing is not one of them.

And now that I think about it - AP, how the hell is winning a Grand Final with an illegal roster not constituted as winning dirty?

because it is the Storm who did it, you know AP is the Storms biggest fan. if it had been Manly or Parramatta that had done it, AP would have thought it was the biggest crime ever committed

where did I say that the storms wins WEREN'T dirty? You guys just love quoting me for things that I've never said lol

Alright. So you hate the fact that we won a Premiership in 2006 after getting a few 50-50 calls, but you respect and admire Bellamy and the Storm's achievements from 2006-2010 despite them illegally giving themselves a distinct undeserved advantage over the rest of the competition?

I wonder how many coaches can say they've won premierships over four decades?

Care to try put any more words in my mouth? Cause I never said any of that either lol. Keep up the good work.

What does AP think about the Dogs premiership victory after they were done for rorting the cap yet kept the same roster AND added Andrew Ryan?

Meh, another thread where AP's double standards are exposed. Bennett apparently has a team filled with atomic supermen and Bellamy has 22 nuffies. Now he's trying to argue whether Bellamy won 2 premierships everyone knows were cheated. Give up son, no amount of bellyaching is going to make those premierships legitimate.

Let's steer this away from another doggy pile on AP.

Who do you guys think rival Bennett? Would you say any of them are on level or dare I say superior?

I do think Bellamy is a quality coach because the Majority of the superstars the Storm have/had were developed by him, he just didn't lose those players like other clubs have had to.

Dessie Hasler (although a whinging bastard) is shaping up as a good coach as well

Bloody idiot. You've been defending Melbourne's false premierships all throughout this thread.

Lol the stupidity never ceases to amaze. Defending the fact that they won them is not the same as saying they didn't win them "dirty".

Lol

The storm have lost more quality players than any other team of the last 5 years? seriously, just look at the players they did lose. just because they didnt lose cronk/slater/smith you guys act as if they've lost no one lol.

Since 2006 they have lost, among dozens of others -Ingils, Crocker, Johnson, finch, folau, Blair, Hoffman, chambers, Geyer, Kidwell, Friend, jeremy smith, Turner, Kaufusi, King, White, Lima, Anderson, Tolman, Maloney, Tandy, Stanley, Champion.

But yeah, since they kept 3 players they haven't had to lose anyone like the other clubs lol

15 of those players mentioned are "rep" players. Any nuffie could have coached them to premierships with those players, no wonder Storm always make the semis.

Bellamy is NOT a Supercoach since he only won 2 GFs with that line up. Cartwright would have done better with that cattle.

Lol

What a load of ****. Such a stupid list of players to bring up.

Nathan Friend left because he wanted to be part of a new franchise and Gold Coast also offered him big money along with the opportunity to be a foundation player. With Cam Smith there they could not care less about paying him money to keep him. Maloney played 4 games for Melbourne, Stanley played 8 games in 2 years, they weren't part of the team anyway. They let go of Steve Turner because they had better upcoming prospects. Geyer and Kidwell retired.

Blair, Johnson, Finch, Hoffman, Jeremy Smith, Tolman, Lima, White and Inglis they lost when they had to start playing by the rules and the first year they play with a legitimate team they don't even make the grand final, says a lot I reckon.

Wow, that's like 9 rep players they lost straight after having to play by the cap. Obviously they deserved that premiership when they had 9 rep players they couldn't keep after having a legitimate team, right???

The only players they genuinely "lost" from that list are: Crocker, King and Kaufusi. If you can call them losses.
