I like the big Serb getting a run; Opacic is old school centre- tough like Mortimer or Bowman. Tackles like a demon and runs hard. He's come through from U18's in 2012 to Colts and a premiership scoring 17 tries in 16 games for Reddy, ISC in 2013 and played Under 20's.

I am happy they put some thought into it and didn't just pick a 20's player who scored the most tries.

(Cool fact; Tom's dad's name is Drago- as if you wouldn't say I must break you to everyone and anyone.)

Trbojkftlkstjevic & Cook shouldn't really be considered rookies IMO.

Neither should Joe Burgess who is already an England international

9 games is still a rookie. (Both have 9)

Hess 1
Taylor 1

Until you've played at least most of the season in NRL you're a rookie I think; they would all still qualify for rookie of the year and one of them is 29!

NRL Rookie Of The Year rules would rule them out.

I thought Bowman was good comparison for Opacic, till i saw him swan dive over the corner post to score at the nines. Didn't see that coming.

More skilful for sure; but like Bowman and Mortimer he just loves the physical stuff and mixes it well. Probably a bit of Hodges in there too. The defence and the running lines are what will win him an NRL spot the rest is filler that can happen.

Then Rod Griffin can't be either; he's played for PNG.

Yeah but Burgess has played first grade in England so he isn't really a rookie. (Griffin hasn't though) Elliot Whitehead isn't a rookie, Sam Burgess wasn't one and neither was James Graham. The super league is equivalent to first grade here (just a bit easier)

I am a big of Damien Cook. He impressed me last year at the Bulldogs and he played superbly for Souths last Saturday. Created attacking chances out of dummy half with speed and skill. I think he has the potential to be one of the best hookers in the comp with a bit of work.

It wont take long for Cook to overtake McInnes for hooker at the rabbits. The rabbits did well to pinch him from the dogs

Cook definitely looks quality. Don't rate McInness much at all from what I've seen of him.
